Record 1 2024-04-29

English

Subject field(s)
  • Operations Research and Management
  • Management Operations (General)
CONT

At its core, an iterative feedback loop is a dynamic process that involves continuous interaction between a company and its customers.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Recherche et gestion opérationnelles
  • Opérations de la gestion (Généralités)
CONT

CONT

Sociocracy, or dynamic governance, is an organizational structure developed by Gerard Endenburg, a Quaker born in the Netherlands who was the CEO [chief executive officer] of Endenburg Elektrotechniek during a downturn. Sociocracy provides a non-authoritarian organizational structure that empowers people to make decisions within their domains, and fosters trust and effective decision-making. Sociocracy organizes participants in circles, has feedback loops and uses consent(not consensus) decision-making.

Subject field(s)
  • Electrical Components
  • Braking Devices (Mechanical Components)
CONT

Virtually all motorized electrically propelled rail rapid transit vehicles are equipped with propulsion systems with electric(dynamic) braking capability. Either the electric braking system or the friction braking system can be the controlling system with responsibility for providing the blending function. However, friction braking is the ultimate brake with responsibility for safe operation; therefore, care must be taken to ensure that the electric brake feedback signal shall not provide a false indication of electric braking effort.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Composants électrotechniques
  • Freins (Composants mécaniques)
DEF

CONT

Prototyping on paper eases participatory design and enables testing in a more exploratory, dynamic way. Computer prototypes allow automatic recording of user tests, can be distributed electronically, and can help document the design process. Designers can choose the most practical proto-typing medium because user-testing feedback is equally good with either.

CONT

The anti-g suit system actuator design is similar to the dynamic seat actuator design. It is a combination of hydraulic and pneumatic actuators. The suit is inflated pneumatically; however, the air is controlled by a hydraulic actuator which acts on a control bellows which maintains the proper airflow to the suit. This technique provides the suit with very good pressure response during both inflation and deflation. Such response would be difficult with pneumatic control alone. Similar to the seat and lap belt, the system includes position feedback.

Most positive identification systems involve biometric feedback technology, including iris and retina scan, finger and hand geometry scan, voice verification and dynamic signature verification.

  • Anthropologie
  • Sécurité des TI
DEF
