LEDA was created by law enforcement officers for law enforcement officers who operate unmanned aircraft systems(UAS) in the public safety arena. The group was initially created by a core group of law enforcement officers in the Pacific Northwest area who wanted to convene and create a set of best practices and guidelines for the use of UAS in law enforcement. LEDA has grown exponentially over the last year to have over 1000 law enforcement agencies in the US [United States] and abroad on their member rolls. 2, record 1, English, - Law%20Enforcement%20Drone%20Association

A lognormal error is usually assumed in the traditional stock–recruitment(SR) analysis.... a positive bias results when [a] SR model with [a] lognormal error is used for fish recruitment prediction. Not only is this bias exponentially dependent on the structure of the model' s residual variance and the historical SR data, it is also dependent on the specific value of spawner biomass used.... a bias correction that is asymptotically unbiased with a finite-sample biasthat is practically zero [is then derived]. Data from two Pacific salmon populations, southeast Alaska pink salmon... and Chilko Lake sockeye salmon... are used to demonstrate this approach. The results show that the relative bias is about 10% for a spawning biomass within the historical range and that the bias is substantial outside that data range. However, with the proposed bias correction, the bias is negligible both within(<0. 1%) and outside of(<0. 3%) the data range. 2, record 4, English, - bias%20correction

NIST [National Institute of Standards and Technology] researchers have implemented a novel approach to cavity ring-down spectroscopy (CRDS) using pulsed lasers. The ring-down method exploits the finite lifetime of light within an optical resonator, which is manifest as an exponential decay of the photon flux exiting the cavity. This lifetime measurement can be used to determine the presence of trace quantities of gaseous molecules, because the photon lifetime decreases as a result of light absorption within the cavity. 2, record 19, English, - lifetime%20measurement

Contact leaching paint, also known as hard-racing or long-life paints, are also free-association types but have an insoluble matrix. Continuous biocide release is generated by the high biocide concentration ensuring that biocide particles contact each other through the paint film. As surface biocide is released, microchannels are created which permit release of biocide from deeper in the coating. Biocide release rates decrease exponentially with time and effective life is again limited to periods rarely exceeding 18 months. 3, record 24, English, - contact%20leaching%20antifouling%20paint

1, record 33, French, - quantification%20angulaire

Metal fibres. Very fine wire can be produced by wire drawing. Production costs are, however, extremely high and increase exponentially as the diameter decreases. To overcome this problem, bundle drawing is the solution. Instead of drawing wires one by one, a number(in some case several thousands) are bundled and drawn simultaneously. The sole remaining difficulty is to separate individual fibres prior to bundling. 1, record 41, English, - wire%20drawing

1, record 43, French, - onde%20de%20berge
