The International Bio-Food Institute(IBI) is a non-profit specialized institute which provides expertise in sustainable capacity-building and consultation in international bio-food trade policies and quality regulations to the industry, institutions and civil society, while promoting the improvement of food development. Founded in June 2001, IBI, now an autonomous entity, has been initiated primarily with the support of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. Its objectives are to : Provide information and international trade practices; Strengthen stakeholders’ capacities, and foster multi-sector co-operation. The International Bio-Food Institute is located in the city of Montreal, Canada.
