Shortcomings in our understanding of natural language comprehension and generation have forced system developers to make more use of the visual medium(i. e., graphical displays, including animation). In this medium, human-machine communication is realized through the use of visual objects such as icons and menus. The information that the user can communicate to the machine, normally the various operations and commands that the system can realize, is structured as a specialized interface language, a visual language in the case of a graphical interface.

Thermomechanical aqueous/steam treatment(TM-AV). Finely comminuted lignocellulosics, as sawdusts, are prepared as water suspensions(10-15% solids). They are pumped through an homogenizing valve system at temperature ranging from 180 to 240°C. These temperatures are rapidly reached with the injection of steam. The high shear forced on the particles when passing through the homogenizing valves and the flash decompression, after the valves, facilitate the disintegration and solubilization of the hemicelluloses and of about one fifth of the lignin. The remaining lignin is then extracted with an alkaline solution or an organic solvent. Cellulose is obtained as the residue.

The combustion chamber and heat exchanger of oil-fired furnaces are normally formed as a common single chamber. It is formed from heavy gage steel into a welded assembly. The hot flue products flow through the inside of the heat exchanger into the chimney. The conditioned air flows over the outside of the heat exchanger and into the air supply plenum.

Forced Air Wood Furnaces. Central wood-burning furnaces are controlled by a wall mounted thermostat in the living area. Temperature and fan controls are the same as those found on oil and gas furnaces. Unlike room heaters, which produce a steady heat output by periodic manual adjustments of the draft control, most wood furnaces operate in cycles. A cycle starts with the thermostat sensing that heat is needed in the room where it is located. It signals the furnace control system which opens the combustion air damper and a hot fire develops. When the air inside the furnace's sheet metal casing gets hot, a preset fan control starts the circulating blower and the warm air is moved through the ducts to all areas of the house.
