Basically, you create a normal HTML file for each frame, plus a special HTML file(the frame document) to hold them all together. This frame document has the frameset container tag in place of the body tag.

The silk-screen process begins with a film positive output from a digital file. The positive is converted into a woven fabric("silk") photoscreen which is mounted on a large hinged frame below which the material to be screend has been positioned. The frame is lowered onto the stock, and the silk-screen paint, or ink, is squeegeed through the open image areas of the photoscreen. The product is then placed on a special racks to dry.

... the Mac, through QuickTime, shrinks the video image to a small size(160 X 120 pixels) to reduce the amount of video data required for each frame of video.... QuickTime also provides users with a variety of compressors for specific types of files-still images, video, animation, and so on. These compressors allow you to reduce your QuickTime clips’ file size, which can get enormous(the average uncompressed file size of our 30-second test clip was 16 megabytes). The compressors employ spatial compression to reduce the file size of each individual frame and temporal compression to reduce the amount of data repeated across a group of frames.

In Memex, microfilm "files" are retrievable in three distinct ways : they can be called to the screen by means of a conventional index(which is itself a microfilm file that can be projected on demand) ;they can be displayed sequentially,(using a "joystick" to control the frame rate), slowly for browsing, and fast for speedy location of an item; and most importantly they can be viewed by following the "trails of association" that the user or author has established by linking together one card with another. The resulting trails can be followed by other users and they too can make annotations, or create further links.
