The Francophone Games constitute a multisport and cultural event in which countries and governments using French as a common language take part. The Games are held every four years;... Participation in the Francophone Games is not dictated by linguistic criteria. Various cultural and sports organizations in Canada choose their athletes and artists for their excellence, regardless of whether they are French-or English-speaking. The Canadian team of athletes and artists will be represented at the Games by three squads : Canada, Canada-Quebec and Canada-New Brunswick. Les Jeux de la Francophonie (JDLF) sont des jeux multisport et culturels auxquels participent les pays et gouvernements ayant l'usage du français en partage. Ces jeux se tiennent tous les 4 ans.
