The New West Partnership Trade Agreement(NWPTA) is an accord between the Governments of British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan that creates Canada's largest, barrier-free, interprovincial market. Under the NWPTA, British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan are the first jurisdictions to commit to full mutual recognition or reconciliation of rules that hinder the free movement of goods, services, investment, and people within Canada. The NWPTA builds on the Trade, Investment and Labour Mobility Agreement(TILMA) between British Columbia and Alberta and has the clarity Saskatchewan was seeking on public ownership of Crowns and the ability of municipalities to support economic development. The NWPTA comes into effect July 1, 2010 and will be fully implemented on July 1, 2013. 1, record 16, English, - New%20West%20Partnership%20Trade%20Agreement

The second variant posits a reduced role for government, and the preservation of an integrated Canadian market as a result of "negative integration". This means that the provinces or states would commit themselves to the free movement of goods, services, labour, and capital among themselves and to achieve this, their powers would be limited by mutual agreement. Essentially, they would commit themselves to avoid discriminating against each other; in other respects each would have a free hand in setting policy. 1, record 25, English, - negative%20integration

1, record 25, French, - int%C3%A9gration%20n%C3%A9gative

Its purpose is to foster improved interprovincial trade by addressing obstacles to the free movement of persons, goods, services and investments within Canada. The establishment of the AIT marks a significant achievement in helping to remove the existing interprovincial trade barriers, prevent the establishment of new barriers and harmonise interprovincial standards. These actions reduce extra costs to Canadian businesses by making internal trade more efficient, increasing market access for Canadian companies and facilitating work mobility for tradespeople and professionals. 1, record 28, English, - Agreement%20on%20Internal%20Trade

1, record 28, French, - Accord%20sur%20le%20commerce%20int%C3%A9rieur

The Latin American Integration Association(LAIA) was established by the Treaty of Montevideo(August 1980) and became operational in March 1981. It seeks economic cooperation among its 11 members--Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela. LAIA replaced the Latin American Free Trade Association(LAFTA) which had been established in 1960 with the aim of developing a common market in Latin America. The scheme made little progress, and LAIA was created with a more flexible and more limited role of encouraging free trade but with no timetable for the institution of a common market. 3, record 38, English, - Latin%20American%20Integration%20Association

Même si l'ensemble de la formation est basé en grande partie sur de la documentation à lire, l'expérience de beaucoup d'organisations nous montre qu'un support vidéo est essentiel pour certains types d'apprentissage libre. ... Ronald C. Idol, market development manager from Cryovac, reported on the American introduction of oxygen absorber packets from Japan and the revolutionary effect they may have on food-packaging and preservation. The most dramatic result of oxygen absorbers is their ability to create a cost-effective, controlled-atmosphere package.... Free oxygen is a major cause of deterioration of foods.... However, the combination of an oxygen-barrier package and an oxygen-absorber packet can change all that. The packet, which usually contains powdered, active iron-oxide, chemically absorbs the free oxygen in the package. The level of oxygen is reduced to 0. 01 per cent or less within one day at room temperature. Due to this low residual-oxygen level, mold cannot grow on the food. Oxidative color and flavor changes are also eliminated. 3, record 56, English, - deoxidizer

Bien sûr, votre liberté ne sera pas complète: votre budget, la disponibilité dans les auberges et trains ainsi que les plans de vos compagnons qui vous obligerons peut-être à modifier votre itinéraire. A contestable market is one into which entry is abs olutely free, and exit is absolutely costless. We use "freedom of entry" in Stigler's sense, not to mean that it is costless or easy, but that the entrant suffers no disadvantage in terms of production technique or perceived product quality relative to the incumbent, and that potential entrants find it appropriate to evaluate the profitability of entry in terms of the incumbent firms’ pre-entry prices. In short, it is a requirement of contestability that there be no cost discrimination against entrants. Absolute freedom of exit, to us, is one way to guarantee freedom of entry. By this we mean that any firm can leave without impediment, and in the process of departure can recoup any costs incurred in the entry process. 3, record 64, English, - contestable%20market

It was bound to happen : gambling is heading for the information highway. In October Gaming Entertainment Television(GET), a cable-TV station based in Pittsburgh, is to start broadcasting horse-racing, poker and $1m-jackpot bingo, all of which will allow interactive gambling. At the same time, Sony's Game Show Channel, based in Los Angeles, is promising interactive versions of "Wheel of Fortune" and "The Price is Right". There is a market : 6m Americans play(by mailing in cards) the ordinary TV version of "The Price is Right".... interactivity is simply a wheeze to push up its ratings. In its first phase it will allow viewers to play for free(ie, without betting real money) and will offer small prizes to those who win. Eventually, however, it may permit real betting too. 1, record 67, English, - interactive%20gambling
