The most common type of CVT employs a steel belt and two pulleys. Rather than step among four or five gears of different sizes, the CVT varies the effective diameter of the drive pulley and driven pulley to create a broad range of drive ratios free of the shift feel of conventional transmissions. Imagine riding a bike on which the sprocket and rear gear magically change size without requiring the chain to jump from one gear to another, and you have the basic idea. By increasing or decreasing the space between the pulleys’ respective halves, the CVT varies the effective diameter of the conical inner surfaces on which the belt rides. It varies these parameters at any time, at any engine or vehicle speed. 4, record 3, English, - continuously%20variable%20transmission

7, record 3, French, - transmission%20%C3%A0%20variation%20continue

Easily the most dangerous event in rodeo is bull riding. This is so because of the size and ferocity of the adversary. A rodeo bull can sometimes weigh over 2, 500 pounds(1, 130 kg) and nearly always weighs at least a ton. The most common bull used in rodeo is the Brahma,... No spurring or marking is required of the cowboy in bull riding. He holds on to a bull-rope that encircles the animal' s barrel and then is wrapped around the cowboy's hand. The only requirement is that the cowboy not touch anything with his free hand and that he stay aboard for the 10-second ride. 2, record 6, English, - bull%20riding

Monte d'un cheval sellé. (...) 1, record 8, French, - monte%20d%27un%20cheval%20sell%C3%A9
