Blood Velocity Meter. A continuous ultrasonic wave in the megahertz region is scattered as it passes through blood. The back-scattered part of the signal can be collected by a receiving transducer next to the transducer emitting the continuous waves, and the returning signal will be shifted in frequency in proportion to the velocity of the blood in the vessel. This Doppler frequency shift can be detected and applied to a frequency meter(e. g. zero crossing detector) or frequency analyzer to produce a signal proportional to blood velocity. 2, record 1, English, - blood%20velocity%20meter

Spectrum analyzer. A device which sweeps over a portion of the radio-frequency spectrum, responds to signals whose frequencies lie within the swept band, and displays them in relative magnitude and frequency on a cathode-ray-tube screen. In essence, it is a superheterodyne receiver having a local oscillator whose frequency is varied cyclically, usually at the power-line frequency. 3, record 8, English, - microwave%20signal%20spectrum%20analyzer
