Ascochyta Blight of Lentil. Symptoms appear on leaves, stems and pods as white to tan coloured spots, often with a darker margin. The centres of lesions are often speckled with tiny, black fruiting bodies(pycnidia) which contain the spores of the fungus. When the disease becomes severe, leaves may drop prematurely and shoots may be blighted. Dieback and flower and pod abortion are the main causes of yield loss. 3, record 2, English, - ascochyta%20blight%20of%20lentil

3, record 2, French, - br%C3%BBlure%20ascochytique%20des%20lentilles

Didymella applanata, a fungus. The disease is found in western Oregon and Washington on red rasberry, ’Loganberry’, and ’Youngberry’. The ’Willamette’ cultivar of red raspberry is rapidly infected by spur blight but also is tolerant and can produce a satisfactory crop even if disease incidence is high. From early April mature black fruiting bodies(perithecia) can be found in the gray affected areas of cane tissue. Perithecia discharge ascospores during favorable(wet) weather, continuing perhaps until the end of June. Symptoms : Leaf infections in spring and early summer create a yellowish spotting on the upper leaf surface. At first the spots are very small, yellow to orange and slightly raised(spermagonia) but then new, yellow to orangish spore bearing structures(aecia) are produced in a ring around these spots. By summer, another yellow spore stage(uredinia) appears on the lower leaf surface... Fruit often dies on the canes before maturing if leaves on fruiting laterals are attacked early in the summer. 4, record 15, English, - yellow%20rust

Fusicoccum canker results in the death or necrosis of both vegetative and fruiting shoots. 1, record 22, French, - l%C3%A9gume%2Dfruit

DOTHISTROMA NEEDLE BLIGHT caused by Dothistroma pini can infect all two or three needle pines, but only ponderosa and Austrian pines are highly susceptible. Early symptoms appear in late summer or early fall as deep green bands with a water-soaked appearance and as yellow or tan spots. The spots and bands turn brown to reddish-brown. The ends of infected needles gradually die and turn brown. Tiny black fruiting bodies develop near the infection band in late fall or the following spring. Infected needles drop prematurely. In the western United States, where the infected spots or bands are more red than in the Great Plains, this disease is called red band disease. 2, record 30, English, - red%20band%20disease
