What is uranium enrichment? Enrichment is a process that increases the capacity of uranium to fuel a nuclear chain reaction, either for use in nuclear power plants or for nuclear weapons. Uranium primarily occurs naturally as two isotopes : 99. 3% is uranium-238 and 0. 7% is uranium-235. Their atoms are identical except for the number of neutrons in the nucleus : uranium-238 has three more and this makes it less able to fission. Uranium enrichment is used to increase the percentage of the fissile U-235. 2, record 10, English, - uranium%20enrichment

[The] "cryo arms" support the upper umbilicals which supply the Ariane 6 upper stage with cryogenic top-up fuel, maintain the correct pressurisation of the upper stage tanks, cool the engines before ignition and generally keep the upper stage in an optimal condition right up to the point of liftoff. The same umbilicals allow the fuel to be drained safely if a launch is aborted. Each arm is 13 m [meters] long and weighs 20 tonnes. One arm supplies liquid hydrogen at-250 ºC, the other supplies liquid oxygen at-180 ºC. When Ariane 6 lifts off, these arms will disconnect from the rocket and then pivot away quickly in just 2. 6 seconds to avoid interfering with the rocket's ascent. 3, record 15, English, - cryogenic%20arm

The moisture content of the top layer of coniferous needles and twigs covering the forest floor is one of the factors of forest fire danger which must be determined accurately if fire danger in such timber types is to be measured.... For daily use at numerous field stations, where duff is a forest fire fuel of material significance, some instrumental method giving an immediate indication of duff moisture is necessary. Hydrogen drones utilize hydrogen fuel cells for power. Hydrogen must be free of other elements and stored under high pressure to be a viable power source. Hydrogen is then converted within the fuel cell by mixing it with oxygen, and the byproduct is then removed with water. This process affords better energy density in comparison to battery drones. The Canadian Forest Fire Weather Index(FWI) System consists of six components that account for the effects of fuel moisture and weather conditions on fire behavior. The first three components are fuel moisture codes, which are numeric ratings of the moisture content of the forest floor and other dead organic matter. Their values rise as the moisture content decreases. There is one fuel moisture code for each of three layers of fuel : litter and other fine fuels; loosely compacted organic layers of moderate depth; and deep, compact organic layers. The remaining three components are fire behavior indices, which represent the rate of fire spread, the fuel available for combustion, and the frontal fire intensity; these three values rise as the fire danger increases. 1, record 67, English, - Canadian%20Forest%20Fire%20Weather%20Index%20System

For a fishing vessel with a requirement to tow large loads at low speeds and to have a reasonable free-running speed, a controllable pitch propeller would seem the obvious choice. The propeller efficiency can be maintained at a high level in the two major modes of operation[, ] which realizes a considerable saving in fuel over the life of the vessel. 1, record 98, English, - free%2Drunning%20speed
