A cast-iron or steel container fired with solid, liquid, or gaseous fuels to generate hot water or steam for use in heating a building through an appropriate distribution system. 2, record 1, English, - boiler
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
For ASHRAE purposes, excluding special and unusual fluids, materials, and methods, a boiler is a cast-iron or steel pressure vessel heat exchanger, designed with and for fuel burning devices and other equipment to 1) burn fossil fuels(or use electric current) and 2) transfer the released heat to water(in water boilers) or to water and steam(in steam boilers).... Boilers may be grouped into classes based on working pressure and temperature, fuel used, shape and size, usage(such as heating or process), steam or water, and in many other ways. 3, record 1, English, - boiler
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
If the fluid being heated is air, the heat exchange device is called a furnace, not a boiler. ... Non technical users often term any heating device that produces hot air, hot water, or steam a furnace. 3, record 1, English, - boiler

4, record 1, French, - chaudi%C3%A8re
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 DEF
5, record 1, French, - chaudi%C3%A8re
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 3 DEF

7, record 1, French, - chaudi%C3%A8re
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 OBS
7, record 1, French, - chaudi%C3%A8re
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 3 OBS
7, record 1, French, - chaudi%C3%A8re

The palm fibres and shells obtained as the waste products by the industry are generally used as boiler fuel to produce steam for electricity generation and palm extraction process. The ash produced after burning is commonly known as palm oil fuel ash or in short, POFA which is simply thrown away without any commercial return. Laboratory investigations, however, have shown that this ash has a good pozzolanic property that enables the replacement of ordinary Portland cement in mortar and concrete construction. 3, record 2, English, - pozzolanic%20property

For the purposes of [the] study, a packaged boiler will be a shop-assembled unit shipped on skids completely ready to connect and operate. More recently units have been developed for firing on various types of wood waste. 5, record 3, English, - packaged%20boiler

By Fuel Used. Boilers may be designed to burn coal, wood, various grades of fuel oil, various types of fuel gas, or to operate as electric boilers. A boiler designed for one specific fuel type may not be convertible to another type of fuel. Some boiler designs can be adapted to burn coal, oil or gas. Several designs allow firing with oil or gas by burner conversion or by using a dual fuel burner.... Efficiency of fuel burning boilers is defined in two ways : combustion efficiency and overall efficiency. Electric boilers are, of course, nearly 100% efficient in transferring heat within the boiler. 1, record 4, English, - fuel%20burning%20boiler

The dutch oven is essentially a refractory lined combustion furnace which is attached to the package boiler. The dutch oven, up until a short time ago, was one of the most common methods of burning bark. The dutch oven is still used in certain cases when large quantities of bark are to be burned, when the moisture content is very high, and when the fuel has not been hogged to the normal size required for a grate. In the dutch oven configuration, fuel is introduced through the roof of the dutch oven and forms a conical pile which burns on the surface and around the edges. 1, record 5, English, - dutch%20oven

1, record 5, French, - chaudi%C3%A8re%20hollandaise
