Core Power Distribution. In order to ensure predictable temperatures and uniform depletion of the fuel installed in a reactor, numerous measures are taken to provide an even distribution of flux throughout the power producing section of the reactor. This shaping, or flattening, of the neutron flux is normally achieved through the use of reflectors that affect the flux profile across the core, or by the installation of poisons to suppress the neutron flux where desired. 2, record 1, English, - power%20distribution

3, record 1, French, - distribution%20de%20puissance

Fuel starvation and fuel exhaustion(sometimes referred to as fuel depletion) are problems that can affect internal combustion engines fuelled by either diesel, kerosene, petroleum or any other combustible liquid or gas. If no fuel is available for an engine to burn, it cannot function. All modes of transport powered by such engines can be affected by this problem, but the consequences are most significant when it occurs to aircraft in flight. There are two main ways that an engine can run out of fuel :-Using up fuel. This is the most common cause of fuel exhaustion. An engine can use up all available fuel due to insufficient fuel being loaded for the planned journey or the journey time extended for too long(in the case of an aircraft, due to in-flight delays or problems)... ;-Leaking. In some cases, the fuel tank or the supply piping to the engine leaks and fuel is lost. This can cause engines to starve. 1, record 5, English, - fuel%20exhaustion

If no fuel is available for an engine to burn, it cannot function. All modes of transport powered by such engines can be affected by this problem, but the consequences are most significant when it occurs to aircraft in flight.... Fuel starvation is slightly different to fuel exhaustion, in that fuel is in the tank but there is a supply problem which either fully or partially prevents the fuel from reaching the engine. Causes may include a blocked fuel filter, problems with fuel tank selection if multiple tanks are installed, or more commonly water-contaminated fuel. 2, record 6, English, - fuel%20starvation

Research is aimed at a NOx Emission Index of 5, resulting in less than 1% annual ozone depletion.... From a technical standpoint, these critical emission levels depend on the engines’ injection and combustion system performance, i. e. the quality of the air/fuel mixture, its distribution in the combustor primary zone and the corresponding temperatures. The reduction of NOx emissions remains of primary concern, having the largest Emission Index(grams of emission produced per kilogram of fuel consumed) among the substances responsible for the ozone layer depletion. 4, record 10, English, - emission%20index
