Most tankers carry either crude oil from oil fields to refineries or petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, or petrochemical feedstock from refineries to distribution centres. Some tankers with special food-grade holds, pumps, and other handling equipment can carry molasses, edible oil, and even wine in bulk. Specialized ships for transporting liquefied natural gas and fruit juices are often called tankers, though on these ships the cargo is actually carried in large refrigerated containers that fit into the hold. 4, record 2, English, - tanker

Core Power Distribution. In order to ensure predictable temperatures and uniform depletion of the fuel installed in a reactor, numerous measures are taken to provide an even distribution of flux throughout the power producing section of the reactor. This shaping, or flattening, of the neutron flux is normally achieved through the use of reflectors that affect the flux profile across the core, or by the installation of poisons to suppress the neutron flux where desired. 2, record 7, English, - power%20distribution

3, record 7, French, - distribution%20de%20puissance

Radial flattening of the power distribution … Radial flux(and power) flattening can be achieved by differential fuelling, i. e. taking the fuel to a higher burnup in inner core regions than in outer core regions. This can be done by judicious adjustment of the relative refuelling rates in the different core regions. In this way the flux and power in the outer region can be increased, resulting in a greater number of channels having power close to the maximum value. 1, record 11, English, - radial%20flattening

To obtain a more exact representation of the neutron flux distribution within the core, additional neutron flux measurements are conducted within the core... Each incore probe is fixed to the end of a flexible cable referred to as a teleflex cable for moving it inside a measuring channel of the instrumentation of the nuclear reactor. Each measuring channel opens at one end into an instrumentation area in the bottom part of the reactor building. The fission probes are moved inside the measuring channels from the instrumentation area. Each measuring channel includes a fuel assembly instrumentation tube inside the core of the nuclear reactor and a glove finger inside the instrumentation tube in which the fission probe moves. The neutron flux is measured in a set of fuel assemblies distributed throughout the section of the core. 1, record 15, English, - instrumentation%20tube

Currently, fuel additives are typically added to the fuel at large fuel terminals to bulk storage tanks, tank trucks, rail cars or other storage receptacles. The fuel is added by a process known as "splash blending" which means the additives are added as the fuel is being loaded into the receptacle. The process relies on the splashing of the liquids to effect mixing.... Splash blending can also be used to mix the additive with the fuel at on-site tanks. In this case the additive is added to, for example, a bulk fuel tank or bunker tank located at the site of end-use. The splashing of the liquids mixes the additives as the tank is being filled from a fuel distribution vehicle or pipeline. Fuel distribution vehicles can include trucks, rail cars, barges or the like. 3, record 18, English, - splash%20blending

Ethanol cannot be moved effectively through today’s pipeline system, as it tends to get pulled into the water that usually exists in petroleum pipelines and tanks. Instead, it is blended at terminals near the end users. Splash blending, in which ethanol is added directly to a tanker truck along with the base gasoline, is commonly used. 4, record 18, English, - splash%20blending

"splash blending" generally refers to a blending process done by pouring products together, for example, manually pouring an additive into a shipping compartment. This may occur at the loading rack when a vehicle (barge or truck) is being loaded, or enroute. Typically, analysis is only done for the splash blending of lubricants. 5, record 18, English, - splash%20blending

CAN COMBUSTION CHAMBER. The can combustion chamber is used mainly on older centrifugal compressor engines. Airflow is ducted to individual combustion cans that are arranged around the circumference of the burner section. Each can contains its own fuel nozzle, burner liner, and casing. Advantages include its strength and durability, combined with the ease of maintenance. Disadvantages include poor use of space in the chamber, greater pressure loss, and uneven heat distribution to the turbine section. 2, record 29, English, - burner%20liner

The driving force in substitutions between primary energies is twofold. On one hand we have the economies of scale involved in the technology and distribution infrastructures of each energy source. On the other hand we have the fact that during the last 200 years, the fuel mix of the world's primary energy sources has evolved toward "lighter" forms, i. e., fuel forms richer in hydrogen. The hydrogen/carbon(H/C) ratio increased from wood(H/C=0. 1) to coal(H/C=1) to oil(H/C=2) to natural gas(H/C=4). 6, record 30, English, - hydrogen%2Fcarbon%20ratio
