A cutback is a surfing maneuver with which you change your direction on the rail by going back to the breaking part of the wave. See, when you’re at full speed, there's a big chance that you’re getting away from the breaking wave and heading towards the flat spots of the shoulder that don’t have the intrinsic power to carry you. So, you’ll lose speed, and you’ll need to get back to the wave to gain as much speed as you can. That's when you should perform a cutback. In that sense, a cutback isn’t only an aesthetic move, as it gets you back to the power source of the wave : its curl. 2, record 3, English, - cutback

The jump will be easy if the rider can see the landing area from the start. The kicker is very progressive and it is possible to launch off at low speed. A spine feature is considered dangerous when the air time trajectory is too far away from the axis of the feature. In this case, the rider might move away from the walland could land on the flat. 1, record 6, French, - saut%20avec%20cr%C3%AAte

Cross crew qualification (CCQ) is the process of qualifying for a new aircraft type through training which covers only the differences between the new type and the aircraft type the pilot is currently qualified to fly. It applies to aircraft types which share Flight Operational Commonality and replaces the Full Type Rating course. 2, record 7, English, - cross%20crew%20qualification
Record number: 7, Textual support number: 1 OBS
For example, an A320 pilot moving to the A330 or A340 only needs to do the appropriate differences training to be qualified on the A330 or A340. The same applies to a pilot moving from the A330/A340 to the A320 Family, or between the A330 and A340. CCQ reduces training time and cost by 65% to 95%, compared to a Full Type Rating course. Transitioning pilots spend less time away from line flying and, as a result, can increase their productivity in the airline. CCQ is now well established. It is approved by authorities worldwide, including the JAA in Europe and the FAA in the United States, and is used by twenty-six Airbus family operators around the world. The trend towards MFF is on the increase, with pilots from 11 airlines practising it. 2, record 7, English, - cross%20crew%20qualification

Then in 1974 the modern organization was born. Renamed the Conciliation and Arbitration Service it was moved away from the government and set up with an independent council to direct it. 2, record 10, French, - nage%20en%20chien

(ESWL) works in something like a high-tech Ribe Goldberg sequence. The patient, usually anesthetized from the waist down to obliterate the mild discomfort of the shocks, is strapped onto a pallet and lowered into a specially designed tub full of water. X-rays reveal the precise location of the kidney stone on two television monitors. The physician pushes a button, and a spark plug at the bottom of the tank fires, vaporizing some of the water, which then creates a pressure wave. After bouncing off an elliptical brass reflector that is aimed at the patient's kidney stone, the wave passes harmlessly through the patient's tissues but creates a shattering impact when it collides with the hard stone. More than a thousand individual shocks may be required to completely break up a stone, which will wash away in the patient's urine after it disintegrates. 6, record 11, English, - extracorporeal%20shock%20wave%20lithotripter
