In 1981, the Québec government integrated the "social welfare" component of the ministère des Affaires sociales with the ministère du Travail et de la Main-d’œuvre, to create the ministère du Travail, de la Main-d’œuvre et de la Sécurité du revenu. In making this decision, the government expressed its desire to link social welfare and labour issues. The ministère de l'Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale(MESS) contributes to Québec' s social development and economic prosperity by encouraging individuals to realize their full potential in the manners described below. The MESS works to promote employment, develop the labour force and improve labour market operations. The MESS provides financial support to economically-disadvantaged people, and it combats poverty and social exclusion. 1, record 1, English, - minist%C3%A8re%20de%20l%27Emploi%20et%20de%20la%20Solidarit%C3%A9%20sociale

1, record 1, French, - minist%C3%A8re%20de%20l%27Emploi%20et%20de%20la%20Solidarit%C3%A9%20sociale

Once a diesel engine is running, the engine speed is monitored and controlled through a governor. The governor ensures that the engine speed stays high enough to idle at the right speed and that the engine speed will not rise too high when full power is demanded. The governor is a simple mechanical device which first appeared on steam engines.... The governor consists of a rotating shaft, which is driven by the diesel engine. A pair of flyweights are linked to the shaft and they rotate as it rotates. The centrifugal force caused by the rotation causes the weights to be thrown outwards as the speed of the shaft rises. If the speed falls the weights move inwards. The flyweights are linked to a collar fitted around the shaft by a pair of arms. As the weights move out, so the collar rises on the shaft. If the weights move inwards, the collar moves down the shaft. The movement of the collar is used to operate the fuel rack lever controlling the amount of fuel supplied to the engine by the injectors. 2, record 23, English, - governor

Conventional airborne gravimeters are essentially one-axis instruments which determine the magnitude of gravity by using a highly accurate accelerometer in flight to measure the magnitude of gravity along the local vertical. Although horizontal accelerometers are used on the platform, they are generally of poorer accuracy and are only suitable for supporting the alignment process. They cannot give the direction of the vertical with comparable accuracy. Thus, the term scalar gravimetry is used in this case. This is different with airborne gravity systems based on the principle of measuring the specific force vector by a three-axes inertial system and the aircraft acceleration vector by differential GPS. In this case, the three accelerometers of the inertial system are of the same accuracy and the three acceleration components of the aircraft show only small differences in accuracy due to the geometry of the GPS constellation. Thus, three components of each vector can be estimated with high accuracy and the full gravity disturbance vector can be obtained by differencing the specific force and the aircraft acceleration vector. 2, record 40, English, - specific%20force%20vector

Canadian command relationship which gives the gaining commander full authority to direct and control all aspects of the operational activities and all movement of the unit or formation placed at his disposal, and, unless specifically excluded, the authority to direct and responsibility for the combat service support of the unit. The commander may assign missions or tasks to the entire unit or to its separate elements. He may delegate all or any part of his authority for the "under command" unit to a subordinate or adjacent commander. In grouping tactical aviation units "under command" of a land commander, the gaining commander will exercise his authority for the assignment of tasks to the separate elements of the force, the delegation of authority to subordinate commanders and the selection of and movement between deployment areas through the aviation component commander.

1, record 51, French, - kickboxing
Record number: 51, Textual support number: 1 OBS
