A final implication of EGR [enhanced gas recovery] for coalbed methane is the potential for the creation of zero emission power plants. These power plants would create minimal CO2 emissions based on a full life cycle analysis.... This "closed loop" system could potentially release zero CO2 to the atmosphere during the power cycle and would provide cleaner energy.
