CSU 89 was created as the result of the fusion of CSU 8 and CSU 9. The two groups have different clients and still hold their own separate meetings. Part of Architectural and Engineering Services/Property and Facilities Management, Real Property Services. "On April 1, 1996, RPS formally implemented a new organizational model based on Client Service Units(CSUs) and Centres of Expertise(COEs). The CSUs are a dedicated organizational unit through which services are provided to a singular client or a portfolio of clients. The CSUs are supported by COEs which act as stewards of skills and knowledge in RPS business lines and program management. COEs manage a resource pool that may dedicate people on a full time basis to a particular CSU or provide services from ’home base’ to a number of CSUs. The CSUs are revenue centres and the COEs are cost centres. The NCA plays a national role and as such, the CSUs and COEs in the NCA are called National Client Service Units(NSCUs) and National Centres of Expertise(NCOEs). In addition to the provision of operational services to the NCA, the NCOEs formulate policy, establish national product standards, develop new/enhanced products and services for delivery to the CSUs and oversee their implementation. The NCOEs provide functional direction to Regional COEs in support of Real Property Services nationally. The NCSUs provide a focal point for national clients and furnish functional guidance to Regional CSUs. " 1, record 4, English, - Client%20Service%20Unit%2089

... blue moon... For half a century, it's been known as the second full moon in a month... But that's wrong... The magazine [Sky & Telescope] incorrectly defined the term 53 years ago. James Hugh Pruett wrote a 1946 piece for the magazine after apparently misinterpreting a complex 1937 article in the Maine Farmer's Almanac that essentially, but not clearly, said a blue moon occurs when a season has four full moons, rather than the usual three. Pruett mistakenly thought it meant having a second full moon within the same month. Pruett's mistake went unnoticed for decades.... Although Sky & Telescope's editors think Pruett's mistake led to the popular modern mis-definition of "blue moon, "it's unclear where the Maine Farmer's Almanac came up with the rule. The almanac is defunct. Pruett died in 1955.... By either definition--Pruett's or the almanac' s--blue moons occur about every two or three years... Although purists may subscribe to the almanac' s point of view, Sinnott thinks Pruett's error will prevail. 5, record 13, English, - blue%20moon

However, it will create a digital file that is considerably larger than a "Path Image" product. The modern world is full of large data sets : census data, multimedia databases, and remote sensing data, to name a few. With the aid of computers it is possible to collect scientific data on a grand scale. These examples are not "large" merely because they have many data points. They are also high dimensional, meaning that there are many measurements taken of each person, multimedia object, or point on the ground. The "data point" representing one person is made up of their age, gender, educational level, occupation, and whatever else was recorded. Suppose there are 12 attributes recorded for each person. On 8 September, UNESCO celebrates International Literacy Day. Some people may believe that, in the audiovisual age, writing is outmoded; but this is by no means true. On the one hand, the written word is still indispensable as a reference point or a compass, enabling us to get our bearings in the galaxy of visual images. On the other hand, written knowledge is as vital as ever to the self-realization of every individual, every social group and every nation. Mastery of the written word is still a condition of access to knowledge and the full exercise of citizenship. Although illiteracy, in oral civilizations, can clearly not be equated with ignorance, it is a major obstacle to the acquisition of the knowledge and know-how that are essential for daily life in modern society. 1, record 29, English, - International%20Literacy%20Day

1, record 29, French, - Journ%C3%A9e%20internationale%20de%20l%27alphab%C3%A9tisation

Many of the antennas on board communications spacecraft in geostationary orbit are fixed. Some applications for antennas require the ability to point at different areas. These antennas could be used to support a developing regional communication system after a natural disaster or to support a mobile activity. A new spacecraft antenna pointing mechanism concept is to be investigated. The mechanism could use actuators or similar devices which are configured as a "plunger" or a single axis rotary device. The aim of the project is to configure the pointing mechanism to ensure it is capable of pointing a one metre diameter antenna, with full earth coverage. 3, record 33, English, - antenna%20pointing%20mechanism

The conventional method for starting such a weld was to drill a pilot hole to serve as the initial keyhole, carefully align the welding torch over the pilot hole, adjust the standoff distance, and then turn on the torch at full power.... The new starting technique does not depend on precise manual alignment. The welding torch is positioned with no more than the usual care. As the torch begins to move along the weld, the welding current is gradually increased toward the full operating level, causing the depth of the weld to increase gradually until the keyhole is formed.... The standoff is controlled by the automatic-voltage-control portion of the welding equipment. At the end of a circumferential weld, the torch can continue a short distance past the starting point to overlap and thereby complete the weld in the starting transition region. 1, record 34, English, - variable%2Dpolarity%20plasma%2Darc%20keyhole%20welding

Backward curved and backward inclined blade fans. Backward curved and backward inclined blades are slightly less efficient, cost less, and generate slightly more noise than the airfoil type. The number of blades is usually ten to sixteen and the fan scroll is the same as for airfoil fans. Backward curved blades... are constant thickness airfoil blades and are preferred over straight backward inclined blades... because they allow smoother air flow and are stronger. Backward curved blade fans will operate over the full range of air flow from wide open to shut off, whereas backward inclined blade fans are unstable under flow condition below the design point. These fans are used in industrial applications in which fouling of the blades by airborne contaminants would minimize the efficiency advantage of airfoil blade fans. 2, record 41, English, - backward%20inclined%20fan

2, record 41, French, - ventilateur%20%C3%A0%20r%C3%A9action

The forecast portion of the Module allows for the input of financial, full time equivalent, or statistical data, by keyboard or an upload. Data can be input as one amount which overwrites the current amount. 1, record 45, English, - Budget%20and%20Forecasting%20Module

What you need in order to access on-line music distribution services : To get to the Internet Underground Music Archive(IUMA) RockNet, Kaleidospace and metaverse. com, you’ll be best off with full Internet access, and a sound card that gives your computer audio-capability, unless you own a Macintosh, which already has sound capacity built in. If you have full Internet access, connect to the World Wide Web(WWW). The quickest way to each service is to use your favorite WWW browser. With the more-powerful Mosaic browser, you can listen to the music on-line, but you need a very powerful computer. Point you browser at the following Universal Resource Locators(URL) : IUMA, RockNet, Kaleisdospace, metaverse. com. The home page of each site usually has a how-to guide. If your system doesn’t allow WWW access, but lets you use gopher(like Concordia University's Pavo system), go to your main command prompt, and type in gopher URI. for site. Once at the site, you will have to download the sound files to your Internet system, or directly to your PC(assuming you use a terminal server.) 1, record 46, English, - on%2Dline%20music

«Combat persistence» as used here means the number of steady-state turns that can be accomplished at the flight condition of altitude and Mach number. These data assume the aircraft to be full of fuel at the initiation of combat. Again, one sees that the larger number of turns is achieved at speeds near the cruise speed; the airframe is efficient near cruise speed. The engines were specifically designed and chosen to match this point of airframe efficiency. Further the speed at which sufficient combat persistence is obtained for a "sensible" fight(allowing at least three turns) lie below Mach 1. 1, record 54, English, - combat%20persistence
