Buffer overflow : A threat actor could overflow a memory buffer using a simple string-copying or print function, which works because the function didn’t check the buffer length before executing it. The attacker then overwrites the return address and points it to a shellcode in the buffer, causing the shellcode to be executed in place of the regular program. 4, record 1, English, - buffer%20overflow

Record number: 8, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The melting point of a substance should be considered a property of its crystalline form only. At the melting point the liquid and solid forms of a substance exist in equilibrium. All substances of crystalline nature have their characteristic melting points. For very pure substances the temperature range over which the process of fusion occurs is very small. The melting point of a pure crystalline solid is a function of pressure; it increases with increasing pressure for most substances. However, in the case of ice(and a few other substances) the melting point decreases with increasing pressure... Under a pressure of one standard atmosphere, the melting point of pure ice is the same as the ice point, that is, 0°C. 7, record 8, English, - melting%20point

2, record 27, French, - indicateur%20de%20direction%20de%20r%C3%A9f%C3%A9rence

Notice in the drawing routines, especially the arc routines, that familiarity with how the arc routine works is important. In the first arc statement, the command arc is executed and the first point is entered. The center option is chosen before the second point is entered. At this point, you should be able to decipher what is happening in the first nine statements of this function. Next, the arc number value is initialized and set. This value counts how many times you run through this routine. Each time you run through the routine, you create one first arc. The next statement calculates the arc length by calculating the distance between the start and end points of the first arc. Now that you have the arc number and the length of the arcs, you can calculate the overall length of the insulation. Notice the last statement of the routine. That is precisely what happens. In the while loop, the variable total is compared to the wall length. If the total variable is less than the wall length variable, the routine will be run again. Otherwise, the routine is ended. 2, record 28, English, - arc%20routine

The RM-ODP identifies four types of reference points, any or all of which may be specified as conformance points in a particular hypermedia/multimedia standard or specification. They are :--Perceptual reference point....--Interworking reference point....--Interchange reference point....--Programmatic reference point, at which a programmable interface can be established to allow access to a function. An interface at a programmatic reference point corresponds to the common notion of an API. The programmatic reference point is of relevance to the multimedia/hypermedia reference model. All cellulosic material yellow with age. Pulps of high lignin content which have been whitened only by reductive treatment are particularly sensitive to brightness reversion. The susceptibility of a pulp to brightness reversion is determined by testing the brightness of a standard brightness sheet before and after heating the pulp sheet at 105°C, usually for 1 h or longer. The brightness loss may be expressed as a difference, i. e. 89. 7-85. 2=4. 5 points drop in brightness on aging, but the significance of this drop is a function of the original brightness. 2, record 30, English, - brightness%20reversion

1, record 30, French, - perte%20de%20blancheur

Transfer mobility is the frequency-response function formed by the ratio, in metres per newton second, of the velocity-response phasor at point i to the excitation forces phasor applied at point j with all points other than j allowed to respond freely without any constraints other than those constraints which represent the normal support of the structure in its intended application. 1, record 37, English, - transfer%20mechanical%20mobility

A modification of the random search which uses a nonuniform distribution from which the sample points are selected as the search continues. The initial point is chosen by making a guess, and a nonuniform probability density function is centered on this guess. The consequent samples are then chosen from this distribution, and a cluster of measurements is created. The best of this initial set of samples is then used as the center of a new set of measurements where the same kind of distribution but with a small variance is used to generate a cluster of points. This process is repeated until the search specifications are satisfied. Thus, the search "creeps" toward the maximum(or minimum). 1, record 42, English, - creeping%20random%20search%20procedure
