CSU 89 was created as the result of the fusion of CSU 8 and CSU 9. The two groups have different clients and still hold their own separate meetings. Part of Architectural and Engineering Services/Property and Facilities Management, Real Property Services. "On April 1, 1996, RPS formally implemented a new organizational model based on Client Service Units(CSUs) and Centres of Expertise(COEs). The CSUs are a dedicated organizational unit through which services are provided to a singular client or a portfolio of clients. The CSUs are supported by COEs which act as stewards of skills and knowledge in RPS business lines and program management. COEs manage a resource pool that may dedicate people on a full time basis to a particular CSU or provide services from ’home base’ to a number of CSUs. The CSUs are revenue centres and the COEs are cost centres. The NCA plays a national role and as such, the CSUs and COEs in the NCA are called National Client Service Units(NSCUs) and National Centres of Expertise(NCOEs). In addition to the provision of operational services to the NCA, the NCOEs formulate policy, establish national product standards, develop new/enhanced products and services for delivery to the CSUs and oversee their implementation. The NCOEs provide functional direction to Regional COEs in support of Real Property Services nationally. The NCSUs provide a focal point for national clients and furnish functional guidance to Regional CSUs. " 1, record 5, English, - Client%20Service%20Unit%2089

In this context the HRMM branch plays a critical role within the Agency and across government for managing the transition to a reformed HR system, and its associated performance measurement regime. The HRMM branch is accountable for providing leadership and oversight over a broad range of functional areas, with primary responsibility for the implementation of the Public Service Modernization Act(PSMA), leading the ongoing Classification reform process, aligning Employment policies and developing the HR dimension of the CASS initiative. In summary, the HRMM branch and its Executive team provide the visible face of HR reform to key stakeholders and the HR community across government. 1, record 7, English, - Human%20Resources%20Management%20Modernization%20Branch

1, record 7, French, - Direction%20de%20la%20modernisation%20de%20la%20gestion%20des%20ressources%20humaines

Accumulator plants are known for many naturally-occurring chemical elements. The term "accumulator plant" is used here to describe plants which have dry-weight elemental concentrations greater than either the associated substrate or "normal" plants. Much work has centred on copper, zinc and selenium accumulators but little attempt has been made to explain the rationale of elemental accumulation. It is usually considered a "tolerance" mechanism, and only recently has the functional or essential role of these elements been suggested. 4, record 9, English, - accumulator%20plant

Underground railway systems shall achieve a high degree of importance in the cities, so the architect's role in planning and construction must be considered in a wider context in the future. A high degree of architectural quality in the appearance of an underground railway leads to its general acceptance as a means of transport.... The book... deals with the functional and spatial relation to other public areas which are connected to underground stations. It compares historical and recent examples of the subterranean architecture of metro stations in different countries by examining technical aspects and aspects of space-shaping brought in by the architects and engineers who designed the interior of the stations. 3, record 13, English, - subterranean%20architecture
