CSU 89 was created as the result of the fusion of CSU 8 and CSU 9. The two groups have different clients and still hold their own separate meetings. Part of Architectural and Engineering Services/Property and Facilities Management, Real Property Services. "On April 1, 1996, RPS formally implemented a new organizational model based on Client Service Units(CSUs) and Centres of Expertise(COEs). The CSUs are a dedicated organizational unit through which services are provided to a singular client or a portfolio of clients. The CSUs are supported by COEs which act as stewards of skills and knowledge in RPS business lines and program management. COEs manage a resource pool that may dedicate people on a full time basis to a particular CSU or provide services from ’home base’ to a number of CSUs. The CSUs are revenue centres and the COEs are cost centres. The NCA plays a national role and as such, the CSUs and COEs in the NCA are called National Client Service Units(NSCUs) and National Centres of Expertise(NCOEs). In addition to the provision of operational services to the NCA, the NCOEs formulate policy, establish national product standards, develop new/enhanced products and services for delivery to the CSUs and oversee their implementation. The NCOEs provide functional direction to Regional COEs in support of Real Property Services nationally. The NCSUs provide a focal point for national clients and furnish functional guidance to Regional CSUs. " 1, record 3, English, - Client%20Service%20Unit%2089

The Zarya control module, also known by the technical term Functional Cargo Block and the Russian acronym FGB, was the first component launched for the International Space Station and provides the station's initial propulsion and power.... The U. S.-funded and Russian-built Zarya, which means Sunrise when translated to English, is a U. S. component of the station although it was built and launched by Russia.... The Zarya module is 41. 2 feet long and 13. 5 feet wide at its widest point. It has an operational lifetime of at least 15 years. Its solar arrays and six nickel-cadmium batteries can provide an average of 3 kilowatts of electrical power. Using the Russian Kurs system, the Zarya will perform an automated and remotely piloted rendezvous and docking with the Service Module in orbit. Its docking power will accommodate Russian Soyuz piloted spacecraft and unpiloted Progress resupply spacecraft. Each of the two solar arrays is 35 feet long and 11 feet wide. The module's 16 fuel tanks combined can hold more than 6 tons of propellant. The attitude control system for the module includes 24 large steering jets and 12 small steering jets. Two large engines are available for reboosting the spacecraft and making major orbital changes. 6, record 7, English, - Zarya%20control%20module

1, record 8, French, - Direction%20de%20la%20modernisation%20de%20la%20gestion%20des%20ressources%20humaines

Case managers employed in provincial/territorial public sector home care programs provide the core service of case management in all home care programs in Canada. Case managers are regulated health professionals who establish client eligibity for home care programs; assess the client's health, functional, and social status; and establish the supportive service plan to assist consumers and their families to regain optimum health status or provide the required care, services and supports to ensure the client, caregivers, and/or the community are supported through complex disease issues and end of life care. Case managers may be registered nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, or social workers with enhanced education and training particularly in case management. The case manager is the educator for consumers and caregivers and navigates and advocates on behalf of consumers and caregivers to ensure the services required are delivered at the right time. 4, record 25, English, - case%20manager

Simultaneous engineering is understood to mean an integrated, parallel approach to designing the product and the process at the same time, e.g. in vehicle development. The basic idea of this concept is to move from formerly strictly sequential, discrete processes towards carrying them out in parallel or overlapping them. 3, record 26, English, - simultaneous%20engineering
Record number: 26, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Design process is defined as being the whole of the tasks necessary for an idea, originating from customer needs, to be achieved as a product or service satisfying the said customer's needs. Some of these tasks are sequential, but as the "time to market"(development cycle) has to be shorter every day, several tasks are led in parallel : risk studies are launched even before having finished the functional analysis, etc... This concept is named Simultaneous Engineering, or Competing Engineering or Integrated Development. It is supported by a serie of methodologic tools, based on quality(Quality Function Deployment-QFD, Value Analysis, Functional Analysis, FMEA, Design For Manufacturing,...) and organization(Project Group, Process Organization,...) as well as on technologic means(Computer Assisted Design, Computer Assisted Manufacturing, Fast Prototype Process,...). 2, record 26, English, - simultaneous%20engineering

Vineland Social Maturity Scale : a scale designed to assess social maturity in terms of the ability to come to terms with one's social needs and assume responsibility. Norms are available up to age twenty-five. One scale may also be used with younger or retarded people. A "social age"(SA) and a "social quotient" may be answered from the 117 items. The Vineland Social Maturity Scale, originally developed by Edgar A. Doll, represented an early attempt to measure social competence. Doll defined social competence as "a functional composite of human traits which subserves social usefulness as reflected in self-sufficiency and in service to others. "This aspect of human behavior has also been termed adaptive behavior and has been incorporated as a major component in the definition of mental retardation. 3, record 37, English, - Vineland%20Adaptive%20Behavior%20Scale

Although consumers are actively involved in purchasing decisions, they often relinquish control to surrogates. These surrogates may collect market data, evaluate competitive alternatives, and conduct transactions on behalf of the consumer. Surrogate services have distinguishing qualities, such as : 1. extent of marketplace involvement, 2. personalization, 3. impartiality, 4. taste, and 5. control. The first quality is determined by how much guidance surrogates provide. Surrogates are personalized by their tendency to operate at the level of the individual consumer. Surrogates’ impartiality is relative to their vested interest in the choice of one product over another, and their advice is sought on taste and style. Control is determined by how much decision-making power the consumer relinquishes to the surrogate. Two types of surrogates are described, and survey data are presented that review functional and intangible surrogate service benefits. 1, record 39, English, - surrogate%20consumer
