Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF
A chemical compound which appears under the form of a colorless, mobile liquid becoming brown to dark-red upon exposure to light and air, which autopolymerizes with acid catalysts, often with explosive violence, to form a thermosetting resin that cures to an insoluble, infusible solid, highly resistant to chemical attack, and which is used as a flavoring agent, a penetrant, a solvent for dyes and resins, a wetting agent, in corrosion-resistant sealants and cements, foundry cores, furanpolymers and in modified urea-formaldehyde polymers. 5, record 1, English, - furan%2D2%2Dylmethanol

As a result of the larger diameter Vanguard satellite design, the original Aerobee was now too skinny for use as a second stage. A new larger-diameter stage designed by Aerojet-General would have to be used instead. It incorporated an AJ-10 rocket engine that developed 33 kilonewtons (7,500 pounds) of thrust using the storable propellants inhibited white fuming nitric acid and symmetrical dimethyl hydrazine. 3, record 2, English, - inhibited%20white%20fuming%20nitric%20acid

I have developed several liquid rocket engines using both cryogenic and storable propellants. We have never had a problem with cryogenic propellants(and yes we have never had a LOX valve freeze--you have to use the proper valve). We have shifted over to storable propellants(Inhibited White Fuming Nitric Acid and furfuryl alcohol) because of their high density, hypergolicity, and long term storage capability. 4, record 2, English, - inhibited%20white%20fuming%20nitric%20acid
