Currently, CBR provides this service to National Research Council(NRC) scientists and academic/not-for-profit users associated with a university, hospital or government department. CBR resources are available for education and not-for-profit bioinformatics research purposes. Le RBC donne à des biologistes de partout au Canada l'accès à des applications de bioinformatique, à des unités de stockage de grands volumes de données, à une formation de base et aux conseils d'une ligne d'assistance. Actuellement, le RBC procure ce service aux scientifiques du Conseil national de recherches du Canada (CNRC) et à des universitaires ou utilisateurs humanitaires (sans but lucratif) rattachés à une université, un hôpital ou un ministère du gouvernement. Les ressources du RBC sont disponibles pour des travaux de recherche en bioinformatique de nature pédagogique ou humanitaire.
