The Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research is an aboriginal-controlled educational institute which affiliated with the University of Regina in 1983. Throughout the province, the Institute offers a number of programs and courses approved and accredited by the University of Regina. It offers Saskatchewan Urban Native Teachers’ Educational Program(SUNTEP) leading to a University of Regina degree as well as the Certificate of Human Justice through the Native Human Justice program in Prince Albert.
