A special radioactivity log that has been developed for open-hole surveying that responds principally to variations in the specific gravity of the formations. gamma-gamma log : A "gamma-ray log" that records the intensity of induced gamma rays emitted by a subsurface formation as a result of gamma-ray bombardment.
