In 2015, IAPB Canada was renamed to Canadian Association for Plant Biotechnology (CAPB). IAPB Canada was part of the International Association for Plant Biotechnology (IAPB). IAPB was formed in 1970-1971 with the name of the International Association for Plant Tissue Culture (IAPTC) when plant in vitro regeneration was a major research area in plant sciences. In 1998, IAPTC congress was held in Israel and the association was renamed to include Biotechnology (IAPTC&B) according to the research area expansion. During the 11th IAPTC&B Congress which was held in Beijing, China in 2006, the association name was once again changed to its current name: The International Association for Plant Biotechnology (IAPB). This name reflects the research change and development from the original plant tissue culture. 1, record 4, English, - Canadian%20Association%20of%20Plant%20Biotechnology

Public health efforts in social justice and policy change to achieve health equity require multi-level action across health and non-health sectors, including community-based organizations and citizens. A "movement building" approach to intersectoral work for health equity goes beyond being part of coalitions and delivering services or programs to "bridge the gap. Linguistic inclusivity in the classroom contributes to inclusive societies. When the language of instruction is the student's mother tongue, it can help bridge a potential gap between languages spoken at home and at school. This approach provides a more inclusive form of education as it enables students to settle into the learning environment in a language familiar to them, which also contributes to the academic achievement and chances later in life. 2, record 8, English, - linguistic%20inclusivity

It acts as a resource centre on health ethics, providing educational offerings and easy access to bioethics books, articles and videos for informing others and generating dialogue. The network works closely with the university-based health/medical ethics centres in the province to bridge the traditional gap between academia and those providing or accessing health care and to engage members of the public in informed dialogue about bioethics issues of relevance to all. 2, record 20, English, - Provincial%20Health%20Ethics%20Network
