The first National Building Code of Canada(NBC) was published in 1941. Subsequent editions were published in 1953, 1960, 1965, 1970, 1975, 1977, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995 and 2005. Note that the NBC is a model code which has no legal status until adopted by a province, territory or municipal government. There is often a gap of several years between the publication of the model code and its adoption, at which time the government authority may put a different date on the cover of its code. 2, record 1, English, - National%20Building%20Code%20of%20Canada

2, record 1, French, - Code%20national%20du%20b%C3%A2timent%20du%20Canada

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Gap winds can range in width from hundreds of feet to over one hundred miles, and in unusual circumstances can be associated with strong winds exceeding 50 knots. These winds are normally quite shallow, extending hundreds of feet to a few thousand feet above the surface, with large changes of wind, or wind shear, at their upper and lateral boundaries. Gap winds are generally strongest when there is a large pressure drop across a gap, although there is one class of gap wind that does not depend on a pressure gradient across the gap. 3, record 2, English, - gap%20wind
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Although physicially plausible, the venturi mechanism appears to be at odds with most real gap wind situations, where the strongest winds are generally over the exit region of the gap, not at the narrowest section or constriction. There are a number of reasons for the failure of the funnel model. First, there is no rigid lid in the real world.... Another reason the flow tend to be strongest in the gap exit region is that there is often a synoptic or mesoscale pressure gradient across the gap. 4, record 2, English, - gap%20wind
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 2 OBS
[The term "gap wind"] was introduced by R. S. Scorer (1952) for the surface winds blowing through the Strait of Gibraltar. ... Similar winds occur at other gaps in mountain ranges, such as the tehuantepecer and the jochwinde, and in long channels, such as the Strait of Juan de Fuca between the Olympic Mountains of Washington and Vancouver Island, British Columbia. 5, record 2, English, - gap%20wind

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 2 OBS
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 3 OBS

Transborder data-flow agreements.-These are contracts using the model clauses created by the EU. They’re signed by the European entity exporting the information and the non-European entity receiving it. For example, a transborder agreement can be a contract among affiliates of your company in Europe, the U. S. and the Asia-Pacific region. "Meeting the terms of the model clauses will most likely entail conducting a gap assessment of the data-processing operations involved in the data exchange and resolving any gaps you find. 1, record 5, English, - transborder%20data%2Dflow%20agreement
