The Training Project for Persons with Disabilities(National) is a one-year project that matches 100 persons with disabilities with training, jobs and career paths in a variety of horticulture areas, such as landscape construction, retail nursery garden centre worker and greenhouse technician. Manitoba Telephone System is partnering with the Garden Valley School Division in support of their Passport project. The Passport project is an on-line computer mediated system that provides course curriculum on-line and up to date employment information from the Canada Employment Centre. The Canada Employment Centre is also a partner in this project. Partnership funds were made available through the fund raising efforts of the Manitoba Chapter of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
