3, record 17, Spanish, - barotrauma%20pulmonar

The moderator cover gas system fulfils several functions. The cover gas system controls pressure in the calandria. The cover gas keeps a cushion above the moderator. This allows for expansion and contraction of the heavy water. It also absorbs transient high pressure caused by the liquid injection shutdown system. 1, record 22, English, - moderator%20cover%20gas%20system

Thermoacoustic refrigeration is a novel refrigeration process utilizing acoustic energy to produce heat pumping. The process uses standing acoustic waves in an enclosed cavity to generate the mechanical compression and expansion of a working fluid(gas in this case) needed for the cooling cycle. The technique has the potential for high efficiency operation without the need for cooling liquids or mechanical moving parts. 3, record 23, English, - thermoacoustic%20refrigeration

Convection. Process of heat [(transfer of heat) ] carried from one point to another by movement of a liquid or a gas(i. e., air). Natural convection is caused by expansion of the liquid or gas when heated. Expansion reduces the density of the medium, causing it to rise above the cooler, more dense portions of the medium. Gravity heating systems are examples of the profitable use of natural convection. The air, heated by the furnace, becomes less dense(consequently lighter) and rises, distributing heat to the various areas of the house without any type of blower. When a blower is used, the heat transfer method is called "forced convection. " 5, record 25, English, - natural%20convection

Other reactions in the dough during baking, particularly those relevant to bread quality, include starch gelatinization, gluten protein denaturation and enzyme inactivation. Wheat protein denaturation in dough starts at about 70 degrees C and proceeds to a point where the gas cell walls become fixed and expansion terminates. While internal crumb temperatures do not exceed 100 degrees C crust temperature reaches 195 degrees C. At this high temperature, complex browning reactions of the Maillard-type take place between reducing sugars and free amino acids. These reactions lead to the characteristic crust colour and substantially influence bread flavour. 1, record 28, English, - gluten%20protein%20denaturation

The New York Cotton Exchange was formed by 106 cotton merchants and brokers in 1870.... Because the Exchange's state charter specifies trading in cotton only, expansion to include trading in other commodities has been accomplished through the establishment of separate corporations. The first of these was the Wool Associates, founded in 1931. The next was the Citrus Associates, founded in 1966. 1971 saw the introduction of liquefied propane gas, governed by the Petroleum Associates. In September 1974, the Petroleum Associates began trading in crude oil. 3, record 38, English, - New%20York%20Cotton%20Exchange

Isothermal Expansion and Contraction. An isothermal condition is the expansion or contraction of a gas which occurs without a change in temperature(...) During the expansion of a gas, the gas is cooled and therefore the heat necessary to keep the gas at a constant temperature must be obtained from an outside source. The heat obtained from the outside source must be exactly equal to that given up by the gas during its expansion, in order to keep the temperature constant. 1, record 43, English, - isothermal%20expansion
