A burner used [especially] in the laboratory that consists typically of a straight tube four or five inches long with a gas orifice and holes near the bottom for admission of air, the mixture of gas and air formed burning at the top with a feebly luminous but intensely hot flame. 3, record 1, English, - Bunsen%20burner

4, record 1, French, - bec%20Bunsen

Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 DEF
A gas burner in which the actual combustion begins in a refractory tunnel or tuyere block. It is a relatively high capacity partial-premix type of gun burner, which uses the kinetic energy of the gas stream issuing from the orifice to bring in at least part of the air required for combustion. A wide range of control of flame characteristics is obtained by adjustment of the primary air, thus causing combustion to be delayed until secondary air can reach the air-fuel mixture. 1, record 2, English, - tunnel%20burner
