3, record 11, French, - r%C3%A9acteur%20cyclone

The key to the baking process is to achieve an adequate rate of gas production. This is done by careful regulation of the amounts of yeast, yeast substrate(fermentable sugars) and yeast nutrients(minerals required by yeast), and fermentation conditions, with equally careful regulation of chemical and physical actions and reactions(mixing conditions, oxidation and dough manipulation, for example) to bring the gluten into the physical state for optimum processing. In that state it will expand and hold sufficient gas to produce the loaf volume and crumb structure desired in the baked loaf. 1, record 15, English, - fermentable%20sugar

1, record 15, French, - sucre%20fermentescible

dry standard cubic meters(dscm) : Concentration of contaminants in gases emitted from sources(such as cement kilns) are generally expressed as a weight of that material per a volume of gas. Emissions from sources often contain water vapor from evaporation of water in the processed material or as water from combustion of hydrocarbons. This amount varies from source to source and at variable temperatures from source to source. To make an emission rate meaningful for comparison to another source or to a permit limit, the emission rate must be stated as a weight per(dry) gas at standard conditions. When specifying a mass flow control system, the first consideration is whether the process will take place at constant system pressure, constant throughput, and/or predetermined gas flow ratio. Another important consideration is whether system control will be automatic(microprocessor) or manual(setpoint potentiometers).... There are three major state-of-the-art systems that can be identified. The first uses a flowmeter(s)... as the primary transducer(s) to monitor mass flow. Using this format, a signal is compared in control circuitry to a setpoint signal. This generates an error voltage which is used to drive a valve, thus continuously controlling the flow. The second major type of system uses a pressure transducer as the primary sensing element. System pressure is held either constant or varied at a predetermined rate by controlling the mass flow rate of process gases. This leads to a third type of system that slaves valves and flowmeters to the primary sensing. 1, record 50, English, - mass%20flow%20controller

1, record 52, French, - indice%20de%20r%C3%A9fraction%20du%20milieu

A power burner in which gas is supplied at atmospheric pressure(zero gas) maintained by a zero governor. A fan, or blower, blows the air through a venturi, where venturi action pulls the gas into the airstream. The quantity of gas drawn into the airstream is a direct function of the air velocity, so the air-fuel ratio will remain constant regardless of the air volume. modulating fire. Varying the firing rate as the load varies. This results in longer burner operation because the firing rate is lowered as temperature or pressure builds up toward the cutoff point. It decreases on-off operation and increases the efficiency of the system. 2, record 57, English, - modulating%20fire
Record number: 57, Textual support number: 2 CONT
There are four widely used operating configurations for gas fired appliances : modulating fire, on-off, hi-low, and multi-stage firing. Modulating fire is accomplished by mechanically varying the size of the gas admittance opening of one or more special "modulating" gas valves. With the gas valve completely open the boiler fires at it's full fire rate. The unit is said to be at "full turndown" when it fires at it's lowest firing rate. The "turndown ratio" is the ratio of full fire rate to full turndown firing rate and is a function of boiler design. A turn down ratio of 5 : 1 would indicate that a boiler is capable of a full turndown firing rate of 20%(5 : 1(100% fire : 20% fire). 3, record 57, English, - modulating%20fire

2, record 57, French, - allure%20progressive

An inspirator mixer, does not require a blower but does require high pressure gas,(can be dangerous) and is not very economical or efficient. The tip or nozzle is usually always a flame retention type tip. The reason this burner requires high pressure gas is that the gas needs to be moving at a high rate of speed in order to induce enough air for proper combustion. It is usually used for propane and in a situation where no electricity is available. If you have high pressure gas it is recommended that you use a regulator and switch to an aspirator mixer type system. 3, record 58, English, - inspirator%20mixer

The evaporation rate is a measure of how quickly the material becomes a vapour at normal room temperature. Usually, the evaporation rate is given in comparison to certain chemicals, such as butyl acetate, which evaporate fairly quickly. For example, the rate might be given as "0.5 (butyl acetate=1)." This means that, under specific conditions, 0.5 grams of the material evaporates during the same time that 1 gram of butyl acetate evaporates. Often, the evaporation rate is given only as greater or less than 1, which means the material evaporates faster or slower than the comparison chemical. In general, a hazardous material with a higher evaporation rate presents a greater hazard than a similar compound with a lower evaporation rate. 3, record 70, English, - evaporation%20rate

3, record 70, French, - vitesse%20d%27%C3%A9vaporation

The output or results achieved may be related to different inputs or resources in the form of various productivity ratios, for example, output per labour hour, output per unit of material(as in kilometres driven per litre of gas) or output per unit of capital. Each of these productivity ratios may be influenced by a combination of factors, such as quality and availability of materials, scale of operations, rate of capacity utilization, availability and throughput capacity of capital equipment, attitude and skill level of the work force, motivation and effectiveness of the management. Flame Emissivity Detector. Another detector based on monitoring a specific property of a flame, its emissivity, was developed by Grant, who mixed coal gas in constant proportions with the effluent from a chromatographic column; this coal gas/effluent mixture burned at a wide stainless steel jet. The emissivity of the flame, changing as the flame's carbon content is varied, is measured with the aid of a metal reflector, glass condensing lens, and selenium photocell; these are held in place from each other at their proper optical distances.... For low background emissivity values, response is nonlinear. However, by controlling the coal gas flow rate to maintain emissivity between 0. 60 and 0. 80 mV, detector response is linear over a wide temperature range. 1, record 77, English, - flame%20emissivity%20detector

Semiconductive Thin Film Detector. Using the known principle that the adsorption and desorption of gases cause a change in electrical conductivity of semiconductors, Seiyama et al. developed a new chromatographic detector for gaseous components.... The current, depending upon the resistance of the film, is converted to voltage by the variable resistance, which is fed without amplification to a recorder. Resistance also adjusts the input voltage of the recorder at desired sensitivity. Using zinc oxide as an example of a typical film material, the conductivity of its film maintains a fixed value when the nitrogen carrier gas is passed at a constant flow rate throught the borosilicate glass tube. When a small amount of another gas or vapor is added to the carrier gas, its conductivity is changed. 1, record 81, English, - semiconductive%20thin%20film%20detector

(...) vertical chambers-usually of circular cross-section-with grate hearths through which oxygen-bearing gas, usually air, is blown. As the concentrate is fed to the chamber, air is blown through the grate at a rate sufficient to hold the solid particles in suspension, the mixture of air and solids having the flow characteristics of a fluid. Since each sulfide particle is in constant turbulent motion in the furnace atmosphere, roasting is uniform and rapid, with efficient heat transfer and high oxygen utilization. 3, record 94, English, - fluid%20bed%20roaster

1, record 94, French, - four%20%C3%A0%20lit%20fluidis%C3%A9
