Venturi scrubbers can be used for removing gaseous pollutants; however, they are not used when removal of gaseous pollutants is the only concern. The high inlet gas velocities in a Venturi scrubber result in a very short contact time between the liquid and gas phases. This short contact time limits gas absorption. However, because Venturis have a relatively open design compared to other scrubbers, they are still very useful for simultaneous gaseous and particulate pollutant removal... 2, record 1, English, - Venturi%20scrubber

The Turbotak Scrubber : TurboSonic' s proprietary spray nozzle systems are used to finely atomize scrubbing liquids into literally trillions of droplets. These droplets are the vehicle for removal of solid, liquid and gaseous contaminants from process exhaust gas streams. This approach is dramatically more efficient than "conventional" packed tower and venturi scrubbers. 3, record 3, English, - scrubbing%20liquid

A packed tower scrubber removes soluble and noxious gases, and mists with droplet sizes greater than 5 µm, from gas streams. Contaminant gases, such as hydrochloric acid, sulphur dioxide and ammonia vapour, are made to flow through a bed packed with media. The media can be plastic, ceramic or stainless steel rings or saddles, designed to provide a high surface area yet allow a high throughput. A scrubbing liquor is pumped through the bed, intimately mixes with the gas stream and dissolves the contaminant gases. 2, record 3, English, - scrubbing%20liquid

Dans certains cas où les gaz sont à une température trop importante, le liquide de lavage peut servir à les refroidir. Andersen 2000 Inc and Montair Andersen bv have been responsible for many of today's standards in the area of scrubber technology. Not only do we manufacture complete packaged scrubbing systems for all types of industrial applications, we also design and manufacture scrubbers for applications including fine particulate removal, gas absorption, and dust and large particulate matter collection.... Some of the scrubber technologies available from Andersen are Venturi Scrubbers, Packed Bed Scrubbers, Ejector Scrubbers, Triven Scrubbers, and Low Energy Scrubbers. These systems all use liquid as part of the scrubbing process. And as a result, they are referred to as "Wet Scrubbers".... We also offer "Dry Scrubbers" including Dry Injection Type and the Spray Dry Absorption Type. These use a dry alkaline powder to absorb acid gases and a fabric filter Baghouse to collect particulate matter. 2, record 4, English, - dry%20scrubber

There are two basic types of aspirator-burners that are used in atomic absorption. The first is the total-consumption burner... The fuel and oxidant(support) gases are mixed and combust at the tip of the burner. The sample is drawn up into the flame by the "Venturi effect, "by the support gas. The gas creates a partial vacuum above the capillary barrel, causing the sample to be forced up the capillary. It is broken into a fine spray at the tip where the gases are turbulently mixed and burned. This is the usual process of "nebulization. "The burner is called total consumption because the entire aspirated sample enters the flame. 1, record 14, English, - total%2Dconsumption%20burner

[In flame spectroscopy], a burner in which fuel and oxidant are thoroughly mixed inside the burner housing before they leave the burner ports and enter the primary-combustion or inner zone of the flame. This type of burner usually produces an approximately laminar flame, and is commonly combined with a separate unit for nebulizing the sample. 1, record 15, English, - premix%20burner

The second type of burner, used in most commercial instruments, is the premix chamber burner, sometimes called the laminar-flow burner.... The fuel and support gases are mixed in a chamber before they enter the burner head(through a slot) where they combust. The sample solution is again aspirated through a capillary by the "Venturi effect" using the support gas for the aspiration. Large droplets of the sample condense and drain out of the chamber. The remaining fine droplets mix with the gases and enter the flame. As much as 90% of the droplets condense out, leaving only 10% to enter the flame. 2, record 15, English, - premix%20burner

1, record 15, French, - br%C3%BBleur%20%C3%A0%20m%C3%A9lange%20pr%C3%A9alable
