Transfer subsea LNG [liquefied natural gas] and LPG [liquefied petroleum gas].-This unit promotes and markets the use of subsea export/import cryogenic lines(pipe-in-pipe-in-pipe or pipe-in-pipe) for the transfer of LNG/LPG which allows a significant reduction of civil engineering cost and visual impact by doing away with terminal jetties and related civil works.

Chloroacetophenone used as tear gas for riot control ...

CONT

CN gas, or chloroacetophenone or phenacyl chloride, is a substance used as a riot control agent.... It was investigated, but not used, during the First and Second World Wars, and was used by United States forces in Vietnam. Because of its greater toxicity, it has largely been supplanted by CS gas. CN is still supplied to paramilitary and police forces in a small pressurized aerosol can known as "Mace" or tear gas. Its use has fallen by the wayside as pepper spray works faster and disperses more quickly than CN.

Like CS gas, this [CN gas] irritates the mucous membranes (oral, nasal, conjunctival and tracheobronchial). Sometimes it can give rise to more generalized reactions such as syncope, temporary loss of balance and orientation. More rarely, cutaneous irritating outbreaks have been observed and allergic contact permanent dermatitis.

The atmosphere absorbs the energy from the Sun, recycles water and other chemicals, and works with the electrical and magnetic forces to provide a moderate climate. The atmosphere also protects us from high-energy radiation and the frigid vacuum of space. The envelope of gas surrounding the Earth changes from the ground up. Four distinct layers have been identified using thermal characteristics(temperature changes), chemical composition, movement, and density [:] the troposphere..., the stratosphere..., the mesophere..., the thermosphere. The exosphere starts at the top to the thermosphere and continues until it merges with interplanetary gases, or space. In this region of the atmosphere, Hydrogen and Helium are the prime components and are only present at extremely low densities.

A tubular, perforated device that is attached to the bottom of a sucker-rod pump and serves to prevent failure of the pump (gas lock) because of gas entry into the pump.

The device works on the principle that gas is lighter than oil and rises. As well fluids enter the anchor, the gas breaks out of the fluid and exits the anchor through perforations near the top. The remaining fluids enter the pump through a mosquito bill(a tube within the anchor), which has an opening near the bottom of the anchor. In this way, all or most of the gas is given the opportunity to escape before the fluids enter the pump.

Several [internal cooling] systems have been developed that incorporate three basic approaches : liquified gas, super-cold air with water vapor, and air exchange methods.... The super-cold air system with water vapor works much the same way [as the liquified gas system]. Here, very dry, subzero blowing air expands the parison. The expanded air is allowed to circulate through the bottle and exhaust. Immediately after the parison has expanded, a fine mist of water is injected into the cold air stream. As it flows, the water mist turns into snow. As the snow circulates through the container, it melts and then vaporizes. At the end of the molding cycle, the water mist is stopped, permitting the circulating air to purge and dry the interior before the mold is opened and the part is removed. Production rates can be improved as much as 50%.
