A malignant tumor that arises in the pancreas, a gland situated behind the stomach.

OBS

Most carcinomas of the pancreas develop from the cells which form the pancreatic pathways(gastrinoma), rarely from the islets of Langerhans which secrete insulin(insulinoma).
