The aircraft sustained damage to its right wing, right landing gear leg, and horizontal stabilizer.

A dihedral wing is producing equal lift on the port and the starboard wing in straight and level flight. If the starboard wing dips, it’s vertical lift component will begin to increase and it’s horizontal lift component will begin to decrease until the wing is parallel to the flow (trigonometry and the lift force components on your wing) and at the same time the vertical lift component on the port wing will decrease. This makes the starboard wing rise and the port wing dip until it reaches it’s equilibrium position (hopefully, level and straight).

The nose-gear strut is a steerable, dual-wheel, fully retractable oleo strut. It supports the forward portion of the airplane, absorbs landing shock, and steers the airplane through ground maneuvers. The strut is supported by the side braces and crossarm, which are part of the strut casting, and by the drag links. Each of the two trunnion spigots is housed in a mount fitting assembly attached to the wing structure. The tripod landing gear... is typical of airplanes such as the Aeronca and the Champion. This gear consists of three members hinged so as to form a triangle. Two of these are rigid. The third is an oleo leg, designed to telescope and hence shorten its length when the load comes on the wheel. On landing, the whole assembly spreads outwards and upwards until springs, rubber disks, or other devices take the weight.
