The Society of Automotive Engineers(SAE) has established four series of grade numbers, based on viscosity. Two of these series, one defined at low temperature and running from SAE 0 W(minimum viscosity) to SAE 25 W(maximum viscosity) and the other defined at high temperature and running from SAE 20 to SAE 50, are applied to engine oils. The other two series are applied to gear oils and do not form continuous series with the engine oil series. They run from SAE 70 W to SAE 85 W at low temperature and from SAE 90 to SAE 250 at 100 °C in an analogous manner. 1, record 4, English, - multigrade%20engine%20oil

Gearing a compressor directly to the engine is a wonderfully simple system. You don’t have to worry about compressing the air too much [term : over-boost] because the amount of pressure boost is directly proportional to engine speed, and therefore limited by the engine speed. Since the compressor is attached to the engine it is easy to deliver oil to the shaft that the compressor spins on. Another advantage of the gear driven supercharger is that some engine configurations,(mainly a radial engine) allow placement of the compressor in compact space. 2, record 9, English, - gear%2Ddriven%20supercharger

A diesel genset is in essence a standalone electricity generator powered by a diesel engine. Diesel gensets range in size and power output from 1 kVA to over 7500 kVA and are manufactured by assembling the components(of which the most important are a diesel engine, alternator, switching gear and assorted control systems) on a platform. The assembled unit is often enclosed in a casing which can be sound-proofed(by the manufacturer adding sound attenuation materials to the casing). Where no bulk fuel supply is available, diesel oil tanks will also be added allowing the diesel genset to be operated in locations where there is no regular supply of diesel oil. 1, record 10, English, - diesel%20generator%20set

5, record 13, French, - jambe%20%C3%A0%20amortisseur%20ol%C3%A9opneumatique

Most pitch-changing mechanisms are operated by oil pressure(hydraulically) and use some type of piston-and-cylinder arrangement. The piston may move in the cylinder, or the cylinder may move over a stationary piston. The linear motion of the piston is converted by several different types of mechanical linkage into the rotary motion necessary to change the blade angle. The mechanical connection may be through gears, the pitch-changing mechanism turning a drive gear or power gear that meshes with a gear attached to the butt of each blade. 3, record 15, English, - pitch%2Dchange%20mechanism

Horizontal Rotary Cup Oil Burners. This type of burner atomizes the oil by spinning it in a thin film from a horizontal rotating cup and injecting high velocity primary air into the oil film through an annular nozzle which surrounds the rim of the atomizing cup. This atomizing cup and frequently the primary air fan are mounted on a horizontal main shaft which is motor driven and rotates at constant speed, 58 to 100 r/s depending on the size and make of burner. The oil is fed to the atomizing cup at controlled rates from an oil pump which is usually driven from the main shaft through a worm and gear. 2, record 17, English, - horizontal%20rotating%20cup
