Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF
A method used in gene cloning to separate and identify specific DNA fragments. 4, record 1, English, - Southern%20blot
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
After separation by agarose gel electrophoresis, a nitrocellulose film is placed on the gel surfaces and dry blotting material on the nitrocellulose. Liquid is thus transported from a reservoir beneath the gel through the gel and nitrocellulose filter. The film adsorbs DNA fragments which are then visualized using a complementary DNA or RNA radioactive probe. 4, record 1, English, - Southern%20blot

Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 OBS

A sample consisting of dozens to hundreds of spots (typically larger than 1mm in size), aligned in an array format. 2, record 2, English, - macroarray
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Simply put, an array is an orderly arrangement of samples. An array experiment can make use of common assay systems such as microplates or standard blotting membranes, and can be created by hand or make use of robotics to deposit the sample. In general, arrays are described as macroarrays or microarrays, the difference being the size of the sample spots. Macroarrays contain sample spot sizes of about 300 microns or larger and can be easily imaged by existing gel and blot scanners, such as Storm, FluorImager, or Personal Densitometer. The sample spot sizes in microarrays are typically about 200 microns in diameter or smaller and these arrays usually contains thousands of spots. 3, record 2, English, - macroarray

2, record 2, French, - jeu%20ordonn%C3%A9%20de%20macro%C3%A9chantillons
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
2, record 2, French, - jeu%20ordonn%C3%A9%20de%20macro%C3%A9chantillons
