To operate a sexual assault service and crisis line for women 16 years of age and over in the District of Algoma and to ensure that the services are women-centred and women directed. To identify and incorporate the needs of First Nation women, women who are physically challenged, Francophone women, women from ethno-racial minorities, lesbians, senior women and women in outlying regions. To ensure that women in under serviced northern communities have access to services that recognise the reality of violence in women's lives as a systemic issue and reflects a gender-based analysis.
