The Inter-American Convention Against Terrorism was adopted at the Organization of American States(OAS) General Assembly in Barbados in June 2002. The Justice Studies Center of the Americas(JSCA) is an autonomous, intergovernmental organisation whose mission is to support the countries of the region in their judicial reform processes. The Center is headquartered in Santiago, Chile, and it includes all of the active member states of the OAS. The JSCA was created in 1999 by a resolution of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States(OAS) in compliance with the mandates contained in the Plan of Action of the Second Americas Summit(Santiago, April 1998) and the recommendations adopted at the General Meeting of the Justice Ministers and Ministers or Attorney's General of the Americas(REMJA).
