The Interdepartmental Advisory Committee on the Chart of Accounts(IACCOA) was formed in May 1995 to advise Treasury Board Secretariat(TBS) on the Chart of Accounts, and to allow departments to help develop the policy. The IACCOA reviews each classification and revises the detailed codes. It has 13 members from departments of various size and complexity; representatives from Statistics Canada, TBS and the Receiver General(RG), as corporate users; representatives from TBS, as the organization that makes accounting and Financial Information Strategy(FIS) policies; and representatives from Public Works and Government Services Canada(PWGSC), which operates the central system. Le Comité consultatif interministériel du plan comptable (CCIPC) a été formé en mai 1995 pour agir à titre de groupe de consultation pour le Secrétariat du Conseil du Trésor (SCT) en matière de plan comptable et pour permettre aux ministères de participer à l'élaboration de la politique. Le but du CCIPC était de passer en revue chaque classification et de réviser les codes détaillés. Il est constitué de 13 membres provenant de ministères de diverses tailles et complexités; les représentants de Statistique Canada, du SCT et du Receveur général jouent le rôle de ministères utilisateurs; le SCT agit à titre de responsable de l'élaboration des politiques comptables et de la Stratégie de l'information financière (SIF); Travaux publics et Services gouvernementaux Canada (TPSGC) administre le système central.
