Qualitative and quantitative studies show that people who consult complementary practitioners usually have longstanding conditions for which conventional medicine has not provided a satisfactory solution, either because it is insufficiently effective or because it causes adverse effects. They have generally already consulted a conventional healthcare practitioner for the problem, and many continue to use the two systems concurrently. Some "pick and mix" between complementary and conventional care, claiming that there are certain problems for which their general practitioner has the best approach and others for which a complementary practitioner is more appropriate. Most find their complementary practitioners through personal recommendation. 2, record 1, English, - complementary%20practitioner

Jus ad bellum refers to the conditions under which states may resort to war or to the use of armed force in general. 3, record 2, English, - jus%20ad%20bellum
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Necessity and proportionality have always been core principles of both branches of the jus belli principles that apply to both the authority to employ military force and the regulation of actual employment. However, in the jus ad bellum context, they have never before been viewed as principles to regulate operational and tactical execution. Instead, in that context they frame the legality of national or multinational resort to military force in self-defense. Once the decision is made to employ force pursuant to this authority, the jus in bello variant of these principles (necessity of the mission and proportionality of collateral damage) operate to regulate the application of combat power during mission execution (in other words, they provide the foundation for the regulation of the application of combat power in the context of the self-defense-justified mission). 4, record 2, English, - jus%20ad%20bellum

WEST's coaching principles(see figure 7. 5) provide good examples of didactic constraints in the form of pedagogical principles and of felicity conditions that reflect the needs of students. Another type of didactic constraint is provided by sequencing schemes(ex. simple to complex, focused to diversified, breadth versus focus, web versus linear, prerequisites first, important first, compiled to articulate, following logical structure, causal, teleological). The didactic base may also contains a large repertoire of local and global didactic techniques which they call teaching "routines" and "agendas"(Leinhardt and Greeno, 1986) or "tactics" and 'strategies"(Ohlsson, 1987a) These techniques can be very general(i. e., correction by counterexample), domain-specific(e. g., use of Dienes blocks for teaching decimal number representation), or even specific to classes of students(e. g., different age groups). 1, record 12, English, - didactic%20base
