In the Northern Hemisphere, the latitudinal and seasonal patterns of the early twentieth century warming are remarkably similar to the patterns predicted by the equilibrium response general circulation model study of Manabe and Stouffer for a quadrupling of CO2 concentration. If this similarity was a result of early twentieth century CO2 forcing then it may indicate that equilibrium models can give realistic results... If CO2 [is] not the dominant forcing mechanism then this similarity supports the idea that the latitudinal patterns of climatic change are largely independent of the type of forcing. 3, record 1, English, - carbon%20dioxide%20forcing

Partial or total vaporization obtained by sudden reduction of pressure. [Definition standardized by ISO.] 7, record 5, English, - flashing
Record number: 5, Textual support number: 1 CONT
It is true of liquids in general that the lower the pressure on them the lower the boiling temperature and the lower the heat contained in the "saturated" liquid. Thus high-temperature liquids when passed from a region of pressure sufficient for stability into a low-pressure region are not able to contain all the heat originally possessed as heat of fluid, and will be spontaneously partially evaporated by the surplus. This violent readjustment to thermal equilibrium is called "flashing"... 8, record 5, English, - flashing

Examples of general equilibrium analysis that have become widespread in recent years are econometric models and the body of techniques that have been labelled systems analysis. These models consist of sets of equations expressing the relationship among the key variables in the economy... The use of such models will be most familiar to the analyst in connection with the simulation of changes in macroeconomic policies. These models have also been deemed appropriate in examining proposed public health programs... 3, record 6, English, - econometric%20model

Two-Fluid Model. The final type of multiphase model is the multiple fluid model(better known as the two fluid model designating two phases or components). This model treats the general case of modelling each phase or component as a separate fluid with its own set of governing balance equations. In general each phase has its own velocity, temperature and pressure. The velocity difference as in the separated flow is induced by density differences. The temperature differences between the phases is fundamentally induced by the time lag of energy transfer between the phases at the interface as thermal equilibrium is reached. 1, record 8, English, - two%2Dfluid%20model

reactive(reactivity) : As applied to a chemical species, the term expresses a kinetic property. A species is said to be more reactive or to have a higher reactivity in some given context than some other(reference) species if it has a larger rate constant for a specified elementary reaction. The term has meaning only by reference to some explicitly stated or implicitly assumed set of conditions. It is not to be used for reactions or reaction patterns of compounds in general. The term is also more loosely used as a phenomenological description not restricted to elementary reactions. When applied in this sense the property under consideration, may reflect not only rate, but also equilibrium, constants. 3, record 11, English, - reactive

3, record 11, French, - r%C3%A9actif

reactive(reactivity) : As applied to a chemical species, the term expresses a kinetic property. 5, record 12, English, - reactivity
