Probate of a will in some jurisdictions requires the institution of a formal proceeding, upon notice to next of kin and others in interest, while in other jurisdictions probate is "pro forma" and notice, if any, is given after the will has been admitted to probate. The chief difference between the two kinds of probate is that in the former case(called "probate in solemn form" or "formal probate") persons who receive the required notice or appear in the proceeding must therein assert any objections they may have to the admission of the will to probate and, if they fail to do so, are, in general, precluded by the entry of a decree of probate from thereafter contesting the will or objecting to its validity; while in the latter case(called "probate in common form" or "informal probate") the will is first admitted to probate and any objections and contests may be asserted after probate.... There has been interest in applying nanogels to drug delivery systems, such as protein delivery and gene delivery. In general, chemically cross-linked nanogels are synthesized by microemulsion polymerization or a crosslinking reaction of intra-associated polymer molecules. We develop tailor-made functional nanogels to create novel nanobiomaterials(nanogel engineering) by the self-assembly of functional associating polymers as building blocks. In particular, nanogels of cholesteryl group-bearing pullulan(CHP) selectively interact with proteins as a host and are useful as artificial molecular chaperone and drug carriers such as cancer immune therapy. 3, record 41, English, - nanogel

The race-notice statute requires the subsequent taker to be without notice(presumably when the interest is acquired) and to record his interest before the prior holder records. In general terms, the "Registry Act" in Ontario, and the Torrens system of registration are race-notice and race statutes, respectively, although judicial interpretation has blurred this basic distinction.(Anger and Honsberger, 2nd ed., 1985, p. 1594). 1, record 49, English, - notice%20statute

The word "encumbrance" is not a technical term. Rather, it is a general expression and must be interpreted in the context in which it is found. It has a broad meaning and may include many disparate claims, charges, liens or burdens on land. It has been defined as "every right to or interest in land granted to the diminution of the value of the land but consistent with the passing of the fee". Even this definition, broad as it is, is not comprehensive enough to cover all possible encumbrances...(Anger and Honsberger, 2nd, p. 1685) 1, record 51, English, - encumbrance

In many instances Cabinet Ministers are asked questions in the House of Commons as a result of news reports or information derived from other sources. Therefore, in this order, "unusual incident" means any occurrence, major or minor, including news reports, that will or may create public interest, or is likely to be the subject of questions to the Minister or Associate Minister directly or in the House of Commons. Incidents that fall within the "may" aspects of this definition are anticipatory and as such must be assessed against the criteria :"is it possible that the incident will create public interest and form the subject of question to NDHQ or Ministers? As a general rule, any unusual incident that involves or could involve the public should be assessed as a possible subject for a Significant Incident Report or an Item of Possible Interest to Ministers. 3, record 53, English, - Significant%20Incident%20Report

The Attorney General is the chief law officer of the Executive Council. The responsibilities stemming from this role are unlike those of any other Cabinet member.

Havana Charter was the charter of the defunct International Trade Organization(ITO). It was signed by 53 countries on March 24, 1948. It allowed for international cooperation and rules against anti-competitive business practices. The charter ultimately failed because the Congress of the United States rejected it. Elements of it would later become part of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade(GATT). The charter, proposed by John Maynard Keynes, was to establish the ITO and a financial institution called the International Clearing Union(ICU), and an international currency; the bancor. The Havana Charter institutions were to stabilize trade by encouraging nations to "net zero", with trade surplus and trade deficit both discouraged. This negative feedback was to be accomplished by allowing nations overdraft equal to half the average value of the country's trade over the preceding five years, with interest charged on both surplus and deficit. 2, record 63, English, - Havana%20Charter

Even considering that harm might have been caused to the general economic interest in this case by the abuse of a dominant position, the CNDC ruled that it could not be redressed through the normal remedies of competition defense because the problem originated with the existence of a natural monopoly at the source of the transmission, which could only be solved through direct regulations stipulating that free-access or non-subscription transmission of certain programs was obligatory. 2, record 75, English, - direct%20regulation

This paper presents a simple and effective method for matching two uncalibrated images. Corner points are firstly extracted as interest points in the two images. Each interest point is assigned one dominant orientation. The initial set of point matches is then obtained by singular value decomposition of a correspondence strength matrix. A new expression of this matrix is introduced to handle more complicated imaging conditions. Each element of this matrix is the similarity measure between two interest points. The new similarity measure is invariant to image rotation by taking into account the dominant orientation of the two interest points. The epipolar geometry constraint is finally imposed to reject the false matches. Experimental results on real images show this approach to be effective for general image matching. 4, record 79, English, - singular%20value%20decomposition

An encounter with a foreign pathogen or antigen stimulates naive T lymphocyte activation and the generation of immunologic memory. The T cells which are responsible for immunologic memory differ, both phenotypically and functionally, from naive T cells. Of interest is the observation that aging is associated with an enhanced level of memory T cells, suggesting that the qualitative T cell response differs in the elderly. Further, differences in the proportion of memory to naive T cells may be responsible for immune dysfunction and autoimmunity associated with the aging process. In general, the goal of our research is to characterize the differences between antigenically naive(virgin) and memory T helper cells at the developmental, phenotypic, and functional levels 1, record 85, English, - naive%20T%20lymphocyte

Is the HSB a special case? Is it possible to generalise the analysis of the HSB movement and to extend it to other organisations, or is this housing co-operative federation a very special case? It is the contention of this paper that the results are of general interest and with relevance for a wide range of organisations, especially those within the non-profit and voluntary sectors. Of course, it is not possible to, within the limits of this paper, to prove this. However, some indications in favour of this position will be put forward. This circumstantial evidence concern three other Swedish organisations-one a formally non-profit building company, one fund which collects money in order to support research for a cure against cancer, the third being the Union for asthmatics and allergics. 1, record 100, English, - non%2Dprofit%20building%20company
