Health Canada, Policy Development Directorate. The Division provides strategic and policy advice to the Minister and senior manages to ensure that the potential advances in health sciences are maximized for individual Canadians and Canadian society in general. In order to understand and address the health, ethical, social, legal and economic implications arising from these scientific advances, the Division monitors and, where feasible, forecasts impacts of the application of these advances on the health system in Canada and the health of Canadians.
