The vision of the Receivables Management Association of Canada (RMA) is to become the first National association of its kind; extending into every province and territory to set the professional standards of [the] industry. RMA Canada works with its members to promote the activities of all those connected to the industry by bringing their concerns to the attention of the authoritative bodies that control day-to-day activities.

RMA's mission as a National organization is to ensure that it reaches out to all those who have an interest in the Accounts Receivable Management industry representing credit grantors in the financial, telecommunication, retail, utility sector, government bodies, law firms, debt buyers and sellers, collection agencies and other regional ARM associations. [Its] aim is also to expand the Professional Development of [its] members through educational forums, round table discussions, and [its] annual General Meeting. [This association is] further committed to acting as a comprehensive, knowledge-based resource by sharing best practices, offering professional advice, and increasing member awareness on industry trends and issues through active communications. Additionally, RMA's intention is to give its members an opportunity to network with other professionals and to speak with industry experts on relevant topics.

The GOL Leads Forum is comprised of senior managers at the Assistant Deputy Minister and Director General levels responsible for coordinating GOL within their departments and agencies. Membership is not restricted to core departments. The chair of the GOL Leads Forum rotates with the host department. Meetings are held five times per year. The TBS Chief Information Officer chairs the annuel stocktaking meeting extended to the chairs of the Service Transformation Committee(STC), the Architecture Review Board(ARB), the Information Management and Policies Committee(IM&PC) and Community Champion committees(IT Champions Committee, IM Champions Committee and Service Delivery Champions Committee).

Les représentants des ministères hôtes assurent, selon le principe de la rotation, la présidence de ce forum, qui tient ses réunions cinq fois par an. Le dirigeant principal de l'information du SCT préside la réunion récapitulative annuelle à laquelle participent également les présidents du Comité sur la transformation des services (CTS), du Conseil d'examen de l'architecture (CEA), du Comité sur la gestion de l'information et les politiques (CGIP) et des comités des champions des collectivités (soit le Comité des champions de la TI, le Comité des champions de la GI et le Comité des champions de la prestation des services).

The Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries(CADSI) has its roots in the creation of the Canadian chapter of the American Defense Preparedness Association(ADPA) on November 30, 1983. The organisation's founding mission was to be patriotic, educational, scientific, and non-political. As a non-profit making membership society, it was dedicated to scientific, engineering, industrial, and management preparedness for the common defence of Canada. The organisation believed these attributes to be the strongest guarantees of national security and peace. In 1987, the chapter became an independent association under the name Canadian Defence Preparedness Association(CDPA). On November 25, 1997, CDPA's Board of Directors voted to change the name of the association to the Canadian Defence Industries Association(CDIA). The organisation operated under this new name until the Association's Annual General Meeting in December, 2005, when the Board of Directors resolved to widen the scope of the organisation's representation and mandate in light of the increasingly integrated nature of the national defence and public security of Canada. At the December 6, 2005 Annual General Meeting, with the will of the members, the Canadian Defence Industries Association changed its name to the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries(CADSI).

L’Association de l’industrie de la défense du Canada a annoncé [en décembre 2005] l’adoption d’un mandat élargi pour l’organisation. Celui-ci combine désormais la sécurité avec la défense. Aussi, pour refléter l’élargissement de son champ d’activités, l’organisation a-t-elle modifié son nom en celui d’Association des industries canadiennes de défense et de sécurité (AICDS). L’AICDS est la seule association d’affaires nationale à avoir à la fois la défense et la sécurité comme mandat fondamental. La décision de procéder à ces changements est attribuable à d’importants éléments nouveaux, entre autres : à l’évolution de l’environnement de sécurité dans l’après-11 septembre, qui s’accompagne d’une insistance accrue, de la part du gouvernement fédéral, sur la sécurité intérieure au Canada et aux frontières continentales de l’Amérique du Nord; aux relations directes entre la défense des intérêts canadiens à l’étranger et la sécurité intérieure des Canadiens au pays; aux liens évidents entre les entreprises qui exploitent les marchés de la défense nationale et de la sécurité intérieure, au Canada et sur la scène internationale.
