The International Military Sports Council, known by its acronym "CISM", is an international sports association composed of the armed forces of member nations accepted by the General Assembly. CISM is open to the armed forces of all nations. The aims of CISM are to develop friendly relations between the Armed Forces of member nations, promote physical education and sports activities, provide mutual technical assistance, support less privileged members in the name of friendship and solidarity, contribute towards the balanced and harmonious development of military personnel, and contribute to the international effort for universal peace. On May 1946, the Allied Forces Sports Council was set up, namely by Colonel Debrus and Major Mollet who were among the founding fathers of CISM two years later. Unfortunately, because of political discord, the Allied Forces Sports Council was extinguished in 1947. However, the ideal was rekindled the following year with the founding of CISM and the rise of a global vision. 1, record 39, English, - International%20Military%20Sports%20Council

The object of this unit and its associated field project is to combine the advanced training of teachers with fundamental and applied research, and to do both in the light of a continuing study of a given culture. It is hoped that the unit will produce a small but steady flow of highly trained educators each year, who will be able practically to apply the findings of psychological research to the educational needs of their own countries. ’ 1, record 46, English, - International%20Institute%20of%20Child%20Study

Point detection refers to testing a sample that has been taken directly from the environment suspected of harboring the target agent. Needs in this regard include not only investigation of suspected sources of contamination but also monitoring the air/water systems in buildings for general pathogen contamination or contamination by specific biological agents. In point detection as in stand-off detection, many situations will demand neither exceptional sensitivity nor exceptional specificity. Assessment of the total microbial content may be sufficient to determine contamination and alert personnel to danger. 1, record 53, English, - point%20detection
