The term "mini-puberty" refers to the transient activity of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal(HPG) axis that occurs after birth. In males, this activity is most prominent at [two to three] months postnatal age and ends at around [six] months. In females, the axis may be active until age [two to four] years... During mini-puberty, concentrations of gonadotropin hormones rise secondary to pulsatile release of hypothalamic gonadotropin-releasing hormone(GnRH). This leads to detectable serum concentrations of sex steroids, comparable to those seen in healthy adults. 2, record 1, English, - mini%2Dpuberty

Most prostate cancer cells depend on hormones to grow. Hormones such as gonadotropin releasing hormone(GnRH) or luteinizing hormone releasing hormone(LHRH) are released from the hypothalamus gland in the brain. When these hormones are released, they promote the testicles to produce the male hormone, testosterone. Androgen Deprivation Therapy(ADT) deprives prostate cancer cells of the male hormones(known as androgens) that cancer cells require in order to grow. ADT is the most common therapy used in men with advanced prostate cancer. 3, record 4, English, - androgen%20deprivation%20therapy

3, record 4, French, - traitement%20antiandrog%C3%A9nique

How might buserelin acetate treat androgenetic alopecia. Buserelin acetate is the generic name for the commercial brand name Suprefact. It comes in two forms as an intranasal spray : 100 mcg/spray(100 sprays/bottle), or depot for skin(subcutaneous) injection : 1 mg/mL(multidose vial). Buserelin acetate is a synthetic drug that has the equivalent properties of natural gonadotropin-releasing hormone(GnRH/LHRH) that we all produce in our bodies. [It] promotes follicle stimulating hormone(FSH) and luteinizing hormone(LH) release 20 to 170 times greater than observed with LHRH. Long term use of buserelin acetate suppresses production of steroid hormones and gonadotrophin. Consequently, there is a reduction in steroid hormone levels such as testosterone in the blood. 2, record 9, English, - buserelin%20acetate
