3, record 2, French, - parc%20%C3%A9ponge

With my approval and full support, the process to implement the department's Health and Safety Strategic Plan 2001 has begun. This plan not only provides Public Works and Government Services Canada(PWGSC) with the ability to meet all current health and safety requirements, but offers a proactive approach to health and safety issues in the workplace. This major departmental initiative was introduced by the National Health and Safety Committee. Key to its successful implementation is the active participation of the department's Regional/Area Health and Safety Committees, and Workplace Health and Safety Committees and Representatives. The Strategic Plan's goal is for the achievement of the following six major objectives relating to health and safety by the year 2001 :-PWGSC employees are to be fully aware of their rights, responsibilities and accountabilities with respect to health, safety and environmental protection.-PWGSC worksites are to meet or exceed applicable safety, health and environmental protection standards.-A policy framework is to be developed that will reflect the overall mandate of the federal public service with regard to safety, health and environmental protection, while providing clear departmental direction that is consistent with the aims and objectives of regulatory requirements.-Every workplace is to establish and maintain a Prevention Program.-A Safety Management Information System is to be developed. It will be capable of tracking, recording, analyzing and measuring health and safety system efforts, prevention initiatives, and due diligence and compliance activities.-Appropriate environment, safety and health organizational structures and relationships are to be established. 2, record 10, English, - Health%20and%20Safety%20Strategic%20Plan%20%2D%202001

If a player passes the ball across the field to a teammate out of scoring range, it is not called a "cross", but is called a "square pass"). A crossed ball is usually a "pass to space" (as opposed to a "pass to feet"). The Adult Injury Management Network(AIMNet) at the University of Victoria has an established track record in the area of fall and fall-related injury prevention among older people. AIMNet is recognized as a national leader in the field of injury prevention. Partners : British Columbia Injury Research and Prevention Unit at the Centre for Community Health & Health Evaluation Research(Children's & Women's Health Centre of B. C.), the Institute on Health of the Elderly(University of Ottawa) and the School of Nutrition & Dietetics(Acadia University). The goal of this project is to reduce falls and fall-related injuries among residents of long-term care facilities in several pilot sites across Canada. The proposed model focuses on the determinants of health that put residents of care facilities at greatest risk of sustaining a fall and related injuries. Through the creation of networks of support and information, this project aims to strengthen the capacities of both the residents of these facilities and those who care for them. The project results include the publication of a paper in a scientific journal and presentations at national conferences such as the Canadian Association of Gerontology Annual Scientific and Educational Meeting. 1, record 31, English, - Adult%20Injury%20Management%20Network

1, record 31, French, - R%C3%A9seau%20de%20gestion%20des%20traumatismes%20chez%20les%20adultes

The game of horseball is played in a normal riding area with elevated goals at opposing ends. Two teams of four players attempt to score by shooting the ball into the opponent's goal. A brilliant element of the game of horseball is that each team must make at least three passes between three different members before it is qualified to score. Therefore all team members must collaborate for each event of offense and defense, which is why the game is referred to as “collective” or “inclusive” amongst all of its players. No player is ever much removed from the action. Because of the goals, the mandatory passing game, and the quick pace of action, horseball is often compared to basketball. 3, record 34, English, - horseball

Visits to actual and potential markets are an important part of the Canadian Wheat Board's market development program. Often, market development staff accompany Wheat Board sales missions to a particular area, but some missions are organized for the sole purpose of obtaining on-the-spot knowledge in connection with a long-term market development goal. In such cases, market development teams usually represent a wide range of skills : a mission might include a cereal chemist, a market development specialist, a baking specialist or animal nutritionist, and university representatives. 2, record 49, English, - long%2Dterm%20market%20development

1, record 49, French, - projet%20de%20d%C3%A9veloppement%20%C3%A0%20long%20terme
