Spinning or tumbling net shots are shots where the player makes the shuttle spin so that it does not go too high, and lands close to the net. This shot is executed by slicing the shuttle when it is right over the net. The player needs to take the shuttle as high as possible to make this move work. By slicing the shuttle, the player prevents the shuttle from going any higher. All the upwards and forward moving momentum is transferred into the spin. The shuttle would stay stationary for a second as it spins before dropping down onto the floor. 3, record 1, English, - spinning%20net%20shot

A brake fitted to a trailer or other towed vehicle that prevents the towed vehicle travelling faster than the towing vehicle when slowing down or descending an incline. 4, record 2, English, - overrun%20brake
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The principle of an overrun brake is very simple. If the car slows down or brakes, the trailer, caravan, boat trailer or horsebox wants to push forward. This is called overrun. In order to prevent that the towed object going too fast for the car due to its mass, the overrun brake kicks in. There is a sliding piece mounted to the drawbar near the coupling. This contracts as soon as the towed object tries to overrun the car. As a result, the brake cables are pulled and the towed vehicle brakes. The result is that the trailer, caravan, boat trailer or horsebox slows down. Increased pushing force results in increased braking force. 5, record 2, English, - overrun%20brake

Exercise Advice : Place a barbell under your chin, resting it securely across the tops of your shoulders. Hold the barbell in place with your hands with elbows elevated so that [they] are parallel to the floor. Your feet should be just beyond shoulder width apart. Begin this exercise by squatting as though you are going to sit down in a chair. Squat to a point to where your thighs become parallel to the floor and then return to the start position. It is very important that you keep your back as straight as possible throughout this movement(one way to help do this is to focus your eyes on a spot high on the wall in front of you throughout the entire exercise). 1, record 3, English, - front%20barbell%20squat

Custom ski leg with knee joints-a ski leg with two knee joints was designed for an above-knee skier. One knee joint was for walking, and the other for skiing. When the leg is used for skiing, the upper knee joint is locked and the lower knee joint is used-controlled by a compression spring-as it keeps the leg in the flexed position required for skiing. With the amputee's weight on the coil spring, the ski knee can flex as the amputee goes down the hill but will not collapse and buckle. An adjustable ankle to permit the foot to flex to keep the ski parallel to the hill when going down the slopes was also incorporated. 4, record 10, English, - ski%20leg

Going to sleep in space is like going camping. When it's time for bed, astronauts take their "sleep restraint"(sleeping bag) and snap it to one of the walls, floor, or ceiling-it doesn’t matter since there is no up or down in space. Once they are in the sleeping bag they zip themselves in, letting their arms float outside the sleeping bag. They also use a head strap that attaches to the wall with Velcro so that their head doesn’t move. 4, record 15, English, - sleep%20restraint

3, record 15, French, - harnais%20de%20couchage

Rotary dryers can be broken down into three types : three-pass, double-pass, and single-pass. A number of designs of this third type have been popular in the past but their use has been superseded by the three-pass and the fixed horizontal dryer. It appears, however, that this trend is reversing with more single-pass dryers going into use. 4, record 16, English, - rotary%20dryer

An unusual car, invented by Renault, the first to be designed with virtual reality CAD. It has four-wheel drive and rises above rocky surfaces. It lowers and rises its nose when going up and down hills. When it comes to a river, it turns amphibious : two hydrojets power it along by blasting water under its body. There is room for two passengers and a driver, who sit inside a glass bubble operating electronic, aircraft-type controls. It doesn’t have windscreen wipers-water molecules are disintegrated on the screen's surface by ultrasonic sensors. 1, record 18, English, - Racoon

We prefer the term "cross-under" because it helps us to stay ski focused rather than body focused. When we think "cross-under", we have a better understanding of the skis accelerating under the hips and the feet going further than the center of mass. The feet speed up and slow down while the CM maintains a more constant speed. 1, record 19, English, - cross%2Dunder

Many ski technicians call the divergence of these paths a "cross-over" movement. They see that the body crosses over the skis. The CM starts over the skis, moves in a little and moves still further inside as angulation increases. 1, record 19, English, - cross%2Dunder

Thinking characterized by speech in which ideas shift from one subject to another that is completely unrelated or only obliquely related to the first without the speaker's showing any awareness that the topics are unconnected. Statements that lack a meaningful relationship may be juxtaposed, or the person may shift idiosyncratically from one frame of reference to another. When loosening of associations is severe, speech may be incoherent. The term is generally not applied when abrupt shifts in topics are associated with a nearly continuous flow of accelerated speech(as in flight of ideas). Example : Interviewer :"What did you think of the whole Watergate affair?" Subject :"You know I didn’t tune in on that, I felt so bad about it. But it seemed to get so murky, and everybody's reports were so negative. Huh, I thought, I don’t want any part of this, and I don’t care who was in on it, and all I could figure out was Artie had something to do with it. Artie was trying to flush the bathroom toilet of the White House or something. She was trying to do something fairly simple. The tour guests stuck or something. She got blamed because the water overflowed, went down in the basement, down, to the kitchen. They had a, they were going to have to repaint and restore the White House room, the enormous living room. And then it was at this reunion they were having. ’And it's just such a mess and I just thought, well, I’m just going to pretend like I don’t even know what's going on. So I came downstairs and cause I pretended like I didn’t know what was going on, I slipped on the floor of the kitchen, cracking my toe, when I was teaching some kids how to do some double dives". Loosening of associations may be seen in Schizophrenia, Manic Episodes, and other psychotic disorders. 1, record 20, English, - loosening%20of%20associations

Cela m'a tellement affecté.

For the last three or so years a variant of strip grazing called block grazing has been used with both cows and sheep particularly when going through the winter using a slow rotation. Obviously if the length of rotation is say 40 days; then extra subdivision is needed since the average number of permanent paddocks on most dairy farms is only about 15-20. The extra subdivision is accomplished by using electric fences, but the main feature of the block grazing system is that the areas should be as square as possible. This discourages the cows from aimless walking up and down the fence line which does occur with along narrow strip, and so reduces trampling damage and waste of grass. p. 214, Pastures & Pasture Plants 1973. 1, record 23, English, - block%20grazing
