The Dix-Hallpike test is typically performed in a doctor’s office. The doctor will ask you to sit upright on an exam table with your legs stretched out in front of you and your head turned to one side. They will then ask you to lower your head and torso back so that you end up lying with your head stretched off the edge of the exam table, turned with one ear down at a 45-degree angle. If there are misplaced calcium deposits (also called canaliths) in the posterior canal of your inner ear, this will trigger vertigo symptoms. 4, record 2, English, - Dix%2DHallpike%20manoeuver

Morphine is the prototypical opioid agonist and remains the gold standard to which other opioids are compared. However, morphine has several features that may render it less than ideal... The phenylpiperidine opioid subclass, fentanyl, and its congeners... have pharmacokinetic profiles that may be more ideal for shorter surgical procedures... pound : A measure of weight and mass derived from the ancient Roman "libra"(=327. 25 grams), but very [often] modified in the course of ages in different countries, and... used for different classes of things; in Great Britain, now fixed for use in trade by a Parliamentary standard. Denoted by "lb. "(Latin "libra"). Formerly used without change in the pl., a usage still sometimes retained after a numeral, esp. dial. and colloq., also in comb. as "a five pound note, ""a twenty pound shot. "This pound consisted originally of 12 ounces, corresponding more or less to that of troy weight, which contains 5760 grains=373. 26 grams. This is still used by goldsmiths and jewellers in stating the weight of gold, silver, and precious stones, but as early as the thirteenth or fourteenth century, a pound of sixteen ounces was in use for more bulky commodities. This was made a standard for general purposes of trade by Edward III, and known as the pound "aveir de peis, "i. e. of merchandise of weight, now called "avoirdupois. "This pound of 16 ounces, containing 7000 grains=453. 6 grams, has been since 1826 the only legal pound for buying or selling any commodity in Great Britain. In former times, the pound varied locally from 12 to 27 ounces, according to the commodity, pounds of different weight being often used in the same place for different articles such as bread, butter, cheese, meat, malt, hay, wool... The Scotch pound of 16 ounces of Troy or Dutch Weight consisted of 7608. 9496 grains; the Tron pound kept at Edinburgh=9622. 67 grains. "Pound" is also used to translate foreign names of weights, of cognate origin or representatives of Latin "libra. "These vary greatly : in Italy, between 300 and 350 grams, in Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and some German states, between 459 and 469 grams, and in other German states, Denmark, etc., between 477 and 510. 22 grams. But the standard German "Pfund" is now 500 grams, i. e. half a kilogram. 10, record 4, English, - pound

7, record 4, French, - livre
Record number: 4, Textual support number: 3 OBS
6, record 4, French, - livre

The choices of, for example, cut points, reference groups, and metrics in a pooled analysis may differ from the choices made in the original studies and may result in changes in the study-specific effect estimates. The Institute began life in 1958 when a group of prominent business and labour leaders organized the Private Planning Association of Canada to research and promote educational activities on issues related to public economic and social policy. The PPAC renamed itself the C. D. Howe Research Institute in 1973 following a merger with the C. D. Howe Memorial Foundation, an organization created in 1961 to memorialize the Right Honourable Clarence Decatur Howe. In 1981, the Institute adopted its current name after the Memorial Foundation again became a separate entity in order to focus its work more directly on memorializing C. D. Howe. 1, record 23, Spanish, - patr%C3%B3n%20de%20cambio%20oro

The South African mining industry generally uses the appropriation method of accounting, which closely resembles cash flow accounting. It is based on the premise that mines have a finite life... The principle is adopted that members’ funds are invested in a wasting asset and the cost of mining assets over and above the initial capital is provided out of profits earned... This method is the generally accepted standard for the deep level gold mining industry in South Africa and is used for statutory and regulatory compliance. 2, record 28, English, - appropriation%20accounting

1967. Three kinds of sets of the new-design(Canadian wildlife) coins were offered to collectors by the Royal Canadian Mint : 1. the familiar six-coin set in plastic, 2. a set in a red leather-covered case(containing a sterling silver medallion in addition to the standard six coins), and 3. a "gold set" in a black leather-covered case. The gold set contained the cent through the dollar and a twenty-dollar gold coin bearing the Coat of Arms of Canada on its reverse. All coins in the gold set were of the best quality the Mint could produce at the time. Some sets even had lacquered coins, to help ensure that their beautiful finish would remain free of tarnish for many years. 1, record 39, English, - new%2Ddesign%20coins%20set%20%281967%29

1, record 39, French, - ensemble%20de%20pi%C3%A8ces%20%C3%A0%20nouveaux%20motifs%20%281967%29

During World War I most countries suspended the redeemability of their currencies into gold..., withdrew gold coins from circulation, and concentrated gold holdings in official reserves. The currencies of most belligerent countries did not, however, depreciate by much in terms of gold and the dollar because of official pegging operations supported by gold sales, foreign borrowing, liquidation of assets abroad, and imposition of some import and exchange controls.
